(Metronews.ca) Cool Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music....So happy b'day XBox   (metronews.ca) divider line 59

And crossing the street is horrible! no lights, no cross walks, I have to hop in and out of traffic.

What has this world come to?

The last time I was interested enough in video games to actually spend money on them was 1981, when I played in arcades that were everywhere.
A friend (who had a job) and I (who did not) took long lunch hours.

Here's ten bucks. Rake my leaves. Then get off my lawn.

My favorite Halloween costume. :)

The trash can lid is firmly secured to my head, so the lower portion swings up and down on the joint as I walk, creating the illusion of "munching."

Oof, I feel old, I remember XBOX launch day, and going into Family Video and renting and XBOX and HALO, which looked intriguing. I remember thinking, "This thing'll never beat the PS2, though."

For that generation, the Xbox never came anywhere close to beating the PS2, so you actually were right. The next generation, now THAT was a whole different story.

/Hell, Sony is still selling the new PS2 for $100, so that thing is still printing money for Sony

I always thought that if I ever got into a fight, an upbeat tune would start, and if I won, I would be greeted with a trumpet fanfare. But if I lost, a sad woodwind tune would play....

You're not old. I'm old because I can remember playing Ms. Pacman for the Atari 2600, and I also remember the NES and Super Mario Bros. coming out and blowing Atari out of the water.

The new games list for the PS2 is vary small. Last time I looked it was only EA sports games...
