And maybe more importantly, they just found that about 75% of the 'honey' sold in the US is not even real honey (new window). They know they can rip off Americans with this stuff they sell because there's no one is going to stop them.

I grew up with a dad who grew clover once in awhile -- he apiary guys come by and ask to put bees on the nicer crops, and they would give you a big box of honey from your own land. My wifes brothers worked at the apiary for awhile and they still get great stuff. We got a bunch of tins awhile back with the location of where field each sampler came from.

All pure clover honey, they all had noteably different tastes. We are currently eating honey from a big white 2.5 litre pail straight from the apiary. Dear god the white foamy waxy stuff on the top is one of the few things my wife and i will covet from each other.
