That was pretty hilarious. Everyone grumbling about how he should/will be fined or she fired or whatever should clam up. It was cute.

He totally should have got down on one knee and "fake" proposed to her with the ball. That would've been hilarious. And if her twitter is to be believed, she's not embarrassed about it at all.

No subby. The question is "How do you keep a Cowboys Cheerleader?". That was romantic of him and they seem like a good couple.

I do. It was a cute thing. Lots of players on the Bills have connections to Dallas/Fort Worth in some way.

But Tony Romo and the Cowboys just CRUSHING the Bills is getting buried under Tebow completing 2 passes and this guy handing a ball to his girlfriend.

Enh, anyone who cared rabidly about the Lions killed themselves back in the mid 2000s. So the fanbase is comfortable numb. Beside Michigan is winning and we can do the standard SE Michigan thing of rabidly caring about the Wolverines again. Oh and the Red Wings. College ball and hockey, the coping mechanisms of Lions fans since forever.

1. David Nelson signed a 3 year $1.215 million contract with Buffalo (BUF)

2. How much does a cheerleader earn?
On the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders page, we clicked on the "2003 Audition Information" link and then selected "Rules and Regulations." It states:

Cheerleaders are paid $50.00 per home game.
There is no pay schedule for rehearsals.
Opportunities for paid appearances and shows are available!
So for the privilege of being one of the lucky 30 or 40 who make the final cut, the Cowgirls stand to earn approximately $500 ($50 x 10 home games).

vinnydoz007: The only thing I could think about is, watch the Bills win, and Jerry Jones fires the cheerleader. Other than that happening. I dont really care.

I sincerely doubt that Jerry Jones has any say whatsoever regarding the cheerleaders. And I know we all like to bag on JJ for being a lunatic, but everyone can see that she did not encourage that. DCCs are allowed to date anyone except players on the Cowboys roster. And seriously, they get paid like $20 a game. It's not like losing that job would send her to the pits of despair or anything.

Also, David Nelson is from Dallas, so I'm not sure what the big mystery is.

2011-11-14 02:19:17 PM
I thought there was some NFL rule about players dating cheerleaders? Or is it allowed if they are on different teams? Or different conferences? Or was this a concession to the players under the new CBA?

He's a businessman. I more expect him to capitalize on it financially. Posters of her stomping on a Bills jersey or something. Same would apply for the Bills should she get fired - what a great opportunity to hire her and capitalize on some PR.

I'm not sure if it's an NFL rule or not. The rule I was referring to is a DCC rule. I'd imagine it's discouraged, but truthfully, I don't know.

Anyway the normal response to a touchdown celebration in a loss is "you lost the game". He lost the game.

I guess I don't feel like responding like that, unless it was an egregiously cocky or insulting gesture. Every time the other team does the Aaron Rodgers belt I get angry, but giving a ball to your girlfriend? Unless the score is out of hand *at that time*, good on you. The Bills were only down two scores after his TD, so meh.

I agree with this sentiment. First game of the season, Packers v. Saints and near the end of the game the Packers were up 42-27. The Saints were driving and with 3:20 left in the game Jimmy Graham catches a TD pass. So he mocks the Packers and their fans by whipping out the championship belt celebration. Seriously? I just really hope one of the Packers pointed out the score to him on his way back to the sideline.
