I dont think the fact that he let him go without bail is really the question here, but that he was involved with this man's "charity" the same organization where alleged pedo allegedly molested/raped kids.

That's still a potential conflict of interest on the judge's part, and should have resulted in a recusal, even if the judge's only involvement in the case would be the bail hearing.

Then again, given the shenanigans certain Supreme Court justices have gotten away with, conflict of interest only seems to matter on appeal anymore.

Well, since she set bail at $100k, it clearly isn't the question anywhere.

I read that he didn't even have to post bond, so he essentially walked out scot free.

The whole story just creeps me out --Happy Valley had a facade that is now beginning to crack.

The FBI needs to open an investigation on these guys now, and apparently has the jurisdiction because he crossed state lines with the boys. It seems like all of central PA is on this.

As much as you want to place this on the Republicans, you may have some trouble doing that at a school that ran a pedoring while sheltering one of the Climategate scientists.

Judging from the article, it seems that there was a genuine conflict of interest here, which affected the proceedings. The Judge denied the prosecutors' bail request ($500K and an ankle bracelet) and instead set bail at $100K. I see two possibilities here:

1. He wants the subhuman filth out on the streets in the hope that someone will kill him or that he will kill himself.

2. He's in on the "wealthy donors prostitution ring".

If (1) is the case, good for the Judge.
If (2) is the case, the Judge should be executed, along with everyone who was remotely involved with this. I'm talking the coach who heard "rhythmic slapping sounds" and did nothing, JoePa, the entire Board of Trustees (including the Governor of Pennsylvania), everyone. Line them up against a wall and shoot them, repeating if necessary, until they depart this life. Do this publicly. It would send a message that evil of this magnitude will not be tolerated in a civilized society.

As for Sandusky himself... chain him up in the middle of the field at the Linc, fill the stadium with rabid Eagles fans (but no Ped State alumni), and let them stone the Sodomite.
