Yeah, if I remember the Russian Economy was in the Toilet during Clinton's time in office and the American economy was just okay.

In fact, it was Bush's policies that caused Oil prices to shoot up which directly helped both the Iranian and Russian economies.

Why is шесть afraid of семь? Because семь съело девять... I mean, because семь восемь девять... I mean... WE WILL BURY YOU

/Word play doesn't tend to translate well
//In context and with proper translation, Khrushchev 's "bury" was supposed to mean "outlast", not "murder".

Algebrat: //In context and with proper translation, Khrushchev 's "bury" was supposed to mean "outlast", not "murder".

It was still boastful and inflammatory, and as history has shown, incorrect.

And having been born in the USSR, I'm quite happy with that outcome. I would have been much less happy if you had bombed the 6 out of us over a bad translation of an inflammatory boast.

один

Is that what the artist formerly known as Prince calls himself these days?

один = O-D-EE-N = "odeen" = Russian for "one"

Isn't the term quickening usually used when something rapidly approaches completion or death?

if you really want to go for a phonetic transliteration, a-DEEN would be better...

/odin would be the direct latin transliteration...which is awesome

Except 'economy' has female gender in Russian. So we should be using одна (odna)..

that is true. However, as a current fan of randomly using russian words in otherwise english speech, I tend to forget the grammar unless I am attempting to speak solely in Russian (usually terribly).
