There's something wrong with you. You should have had many orgasms by now - after all this time. You've got to see a doctor.

Reagan made me laugh again. Yeah, I'm an insensitive male. But I laughed anyway.

More seriously, his first wife shows up in about one sentence of his autobiography and I don't recall anything about other women between her and Nancy.

He served as U.S. President between 1981 and 1989 and died in 2004.

It feels strange to see this sentence in a news story because it's something everybody knows because everybody lived through it. Right? Right?

This is how you know that you're old, when you start being surprised that something is written about in the future for an audience that might not have been around to have seen it.

And just think, in about 6 years, the kids who were born after 9/11/2011 would be on the road driving.

Reagan set the precedent for Arab Terrorism due to his presidency's reaction to the 1983 Beirut Bombings.

He withdrew all troops. And ever since then Arab terrorists thought that the US would always back down after a terrorist attack.

Yes, Ronald Reagan is responsible for 9/11. (new window)

He provided motivation for them to succeed. He ignored the growing Jihadi movement after supporting the fight against the Soviet occupation (new window).

You also forgot the part where Clinton's Tomahawk strikes to no effect also embolded the jihadis to thinking that even if we DID strike back, we'd do nothing useful.

It was a cavalcade of farkups from the moment the USSR pulled out of Afghanistan (we could have spent some money and time stabilizing things... we didn't) until this very day (from our reactions to other terrorist attacks to our current muddling about in Central Asia).

Google "Selene Walters" and you'll see Reagan seems to have had a bit of a wham-bam-thank-you-maam series of starlets between Jane Wyman and Nancy Davis.

Interestingly, he seems to never have taken his dates out anywhere, he was more of a booty call kinda guy....

Reagan's acting career lasted for nearly three decades but he quit Hollywood for politics and was elected as governor of California in 1967.

I would say his acting career didn't really get going until he quit Hollywood for politics.

A few senators, however, noted that the timing of the attack raised the question of whether Clinton had ordered it to deflect attention from his personal affairs.

The Republicans hobbled Clinton; so that his every move somehow related to getting a blowjob. Who knows what they would have said if he went further.

Seriously? That's what you're going with? You might want to read the paragraphs around that quote. It destroys your argument.

The problem is that the reprisal was ultimately ineffective and emboldening. Two years later the Cole bombing was another escalation that Clinton did not respond to (nor did Bush, but he didn't take office until months after the attack). We still didn't take the jihadis seriously.

Our foreign policy has always been Europe-centric, and we've just never had a good idea how to handle the middle east or central Asia areas... mostly because there's no good way to handle them. You can't blame even Clinton's problems on the Republicans there. Nobody has known what to do because there isn't much of an answer. The few times we've had an opening to help make things better we let it slide in favor of other priorities.

Did you read the paragraphs around it? That hardly "destroys it".

"lear from several lawmakers' statements that support for Clinton was not just a knee-jerk reaction, but also a response made easier because of former GOP senator and current Defense Secretary William S. Cohen. "I have enough confidence in [Cohen] to believe that he would not be involved in anything orchestrated for domestic political purposes," Sen. Robert F. Bennett (R-Utah) said."

Except that when it came to Serbia and yes even Somalia... Republicans were trying to destroy any positive outcome that Clinton was involved in.

The same can be said of Obama except their focus is destroying the American Economy. (They seem to have abandoned the military angles for now)

Clinton was seriously hobbled in foreign affairs. I do know that under the Clinton Administration: they stopped the Millennium Attacks (new window) -Something often overlooked by Republican Apologists

So what? In one case (the Cole bombing) Clinton didn't take the Jihadi's serious and in another (the millennium attacks) he did. I'm not really sure where this was going but it seems like a bit of a ramp up, where the Cole bombing occurred after terrorists couldn't get us domestically.

By the time Dumya got into power, Al Qaeda was still swinging only Dumya and his "experts" (ie Rumsfeld) didn't see any threat coming from non-oil producing countries. As a policy decision, they were going to go to war with Iraq (new window) and liberate some oil (new window) for Dumya's corporate allies.

Because People in power are Stupid: Did you read the paragraphs around it? That hardly "destroys it".

You have to ignore things like:

"But most lawmakers from both parties were quick to rally behind Clinton in a deluge of public statements and appearances yesterday"

The comments by both Newt Gingrich (Speaker of the House) and Trent Lott (Majority Leader in the Senate) both praising Clinton.

"It was clear from several lawmakers' statements that support for Clinton was not just a knee-jerk reaction, but also a response made easier because of former GOP senator and current Defense Secretary William S. Cohen. "I have enough confidence in [Cohen] to believe that he would not be involved in anything orchestrated for domestic political purposes," Sen. Robert F. Bennett (R-Utah) said."

I was ten years old when Reagan was campaigning for governor of California. My mother's cousins were conservatives super-hawks who though that Reagan was God long before it was as fashionable as today.

They used to hammer away my side of the family because we were liberal. They never forgave my parents for supporting the election of the first black sheriff in Wisconsin after whom I'm named. After my father died, they used to talk to my weak-minded mother about all kinds of 'investment opportunities' if my brothers and I would only enlist and go to Vietnam and get killed there and they were allowed to handle the insurance money for her (Their own sons served in the Coast Guard protecting us from Vietnamese saboteurs and were always home by 10:00 PM).

But back to 1967.

My mom's cousins wanted my brothers and I to meet this great Republican demigod of theirs. Apparently he had the power to make grown right-thinking men out of boys. So one night, my brothers and I are at their house in Whittier while they're throwing a 'Reagan for Governor' party. That night, Reagan was out visiting his supporters. By the time Reagan finally arrived, it was some ungodly hour and the three of us boys were lined up on the couch like three tiny sleepy owls.

Then we hear our one cousin shout, The great man's here!" The other cousin opened the door.

In stumbled Reagan. He had no pants on and was wearing boxers. It was obvious that he had just peed himself. Holding onto to him was this blonde bombshell that was definitely not Nancy (I've speculated as to whether or not Anna Nicole Smith possibly owned a time machine). She wasn't much more sober than he was.

He came into the house, was given permission to use my cousins' bathroom, spent a half hour inside the bathroom with the blonde, and then left to go on to the next party. After he left, one my mom's cousins turned to us boys and said, "He will save our country."

Okay so you don't like "Dumya" -lefty name calling? Get a clue, I'm not a "lefty" so much as anti-repugnantan which means anti-you.

The reason you don't like "lefty name calling" is because you think it's only valid when your side does it. Don't like it -kick Limbaugh, Coulter, Reagan, Bush, Rove, Cain and Gingrich out of your party -then we'll talk about fair.

Oh, and quit your Reagan worship. He wasn't that great of a president. (new window)
