True, but did she actually earn any of that? I happen to know from personal experience over at UT that neither of the Bush twins did the work for their degrees. Having the right name and the right parents gets you all sorts of things.

In this case I think it's not just that her parents are politicians, it's that her parents are famous and controversial. Thus, they know people will tune in to watch her, whether it's to hate her or out of curiosity. It's all about ratings, just like always.

She is presentable, articulate and educated. She has a famous name. That will get you in the door. But if she doesn't make ratings, she won't be there long. NBC is taking a chance, but she has to make the numbers like everybody else, or they will pull the plug. They are not running a charity over there.

Personally, I think she'll crash and burn. She never seemed very interesting or charismatic.
