Sorry, but after what I've seen with the Olympics build up in Beijing, the event for developing countries is simply a mastabatory event for the government in self-congratulations and basically screws the local folks in the cities where they hold these events. The area where they hold the event they generally kick out a lot of poor folks and after the Olympics the area becomes either a severely underutilized area for conventions/events and partially condo developments for the wealthy. Its money that could have been used for helluva lot better usage.
