Huge fights don't happen that often. Would it kill Fark to have an open thread for the big boxing matches, like ones with Pacquiao? Honestly?

/Haven't seen the fight yet, but it's unfortunate if Marquez got hosed as has been speculated.

Gotta say, the dude knows how to party.

There was an open thread actually, would have been cool to have you there.

Not the first time they have done it (new window) Fun part starts at around 5:20.

He can sing whatever he wants so long as it's not anything from that goddamn commercial.

/"Ha ha, millions of hits!" will forever haunt my dreams...

This. I couldn't watch it, but all my friends in Mexico were not pleased with the results.

I watched that rip-off of a fight. Pacquiao got whipped and Marquez got robbed.

Even if you score every close round for Pacquiao, Marquez STILL won that fight by a clear margin.

Boxing is finished.

I thought Pac won it 115-113. It was close, that goes without saying, and I can see why messicans are pissed. Maybe if their homie pushed the fight, then he might have had a chance to win. Pac-man was on the offensive all night, ese was just counter punching.

Lots of people live scoring gave it to Manny. Tight rounds often go to the aggressor and Manny threw more and landed more. When you look at the highlight punches Marquez is comfortably ahead but a boxing round lasts 3 minutes and Pacquiao was better in most of them in my view, if only slightly.

Didn't score it myself but I was thinking the whole time that Marquez was letting close rounds slip by not throwing more punches.

But huge disappointments do especially in boxing these days. Fark had a thread and pretty much nobody participated. (new window)

Ringside press scorecards were 12-1 ratio in favor of Marquez. Don't know what fight the judges were watching.

Oh people still watch this? Why not just watch WWE? At least they're up front about it being fixed.

Pacquiao has done a lot of roids too, we can't forget about that.

JMM was roided, obviously. He worked with the guy who gave Marion Jones the roids for this fight.

Simple explanation.
