Somebody please explain the "new configuration." It was an oval... they repaved it... it's still an oval. Unless they put in a right turn somewhere, I'm not seeing a configuration change.

Phoenix was always kinda weird shaped for an oval. It has a "Dog leg" semi-turn on the back stretch. Now it's almost a full turn, but they paved the apron so some people skip it entirely. Also, the wall opened up in that spot to accommodate a road course, and they've closed that off. I think they also altered the banking, increasing it in some areas and even adding some progressive banking, where it's a degree or two more in the outside than the inside.
