They still have a few years to switch to being the Miami Gators.

FFS: Whatever happened to home white and road gray? Now the minimum number of uni's appears to be 4, and the stRangers have completely different color schemes available.

Who wants a jersey that you can't wear after Labor Day?

Now, what I don't get: l.yimg.com

Why put the city name on the home uni? You know the team's Miami, you're watching in Miami and they're the home team!

FTFA: The Kansas City Royals used tax money to renovate Kauffman Stadium for the 2009 season. In the first two years, payroll was over $70 million. Last year, it was half that.

Wow. Suckers.

The logo leaked quite some time ago and I was hoping that all the backlash would cause them to reconsider, but no...

I think the yellow is what really makes it, for lack of a better word, vomitrocious. If it were simply red/blue, it wouldn't be nearly as bad. Still awful, but it'd be more like Pontiac Aztek ugly instead of AMC Pacer ugly.

The Yankees still have exactly one home and one away jersey.

Friday was when they officially became the Miami Marlins. The name change was one of the conditions of getting Miami-Dade to buy them a new stadium.

I do like the new name because it's alliterative and 'cause I hate state-wide names (what, Tampa's not in Florida?)

/and the uni's are designed to appeal to the aesthetically-impaired, deuteranamolous portion of Miami's LGBT community - what's wrong without going after that market?

Only when a team is in dire financial trouble. And the owners were idiots for approving the sale to McCourt in the first place. But remember when Carl Pohlad wanted to sell the Twins to MLB for contraction for less money than he could have gotten by selling the franchise to another owner? Or Huizenga having a fire sale with the Marlins bright after they won their first series?

More sports franchises should be owned and operated like the Packers.

I met Loria on several occasions and thanked him for buying the Expos, his response was demeaning and i felt not worthy of his presence. the saddest day being an expo fan was at Milwaukee 2000 when he simply turned his back on me during batting practice after verbally thanking him for his support.

The jersey they showed was basically meh. It's not the worst out there and it's not the best. But I hope they aren't serious about that homerun celebration. That looks like you are taking a ride on Big Gay Al's boat ride.

As it is Miami, I would prefer a Burn Notice tribue. How about a Sam Axe Hawaiian shirt?

None of those are official, though. The Yankees don't wear lavender hats on the field. Their official hat is navy blue with the white interlocking NY. I can't stand those custom-colored hats; they're god awful. I'm sorry, but the Yankees logo does not good in light pink on a baby blue hat.

and yet they still have more WS titles than almost all teams in the past 30 years than all but 2 teams (stl has 1 more, and then yankees have 3 more)

and if you go even farther back than 1980 you have start including teams like the pirates as WS winners

It's a fan blog. A certain amount of franchise specific background knowledge is probably assumed.

Does the stadium suck?
