Forget the Zoo, how about some of the world's top museums?

Google Art Project (new window)

welcome to 2005. They've had Disneyland Paris and Stonehenge on there for years

I noticed this a few months ago. They have a streetview for one of my childhood memories, Sesame Place, in Pennsylvania.

/although the one I went to was in Dallas, and is long-closed

You can do that to all of the Busch Parks. Google just recently added Blackpool Pleasure Beach, in England.

/would like to have a street view for Dollyworld, perhaps even the Cedar Fair parks

Google was at Epcot recently so I assume that is coming soon.

When is Google going to do the streets of Belgium?

Given the number of streets I encounter they haven't taken care of yet I wish they'd hold off on this for a while.

bifford: When is Google going to do the streets of Belgium?

Between July 6 and July 7 2012.

They came one street away from us and skipped my house and I had a sad.

Why would you ever need to see your own street virtually?

I mean, maybe it helps other people find your place a little bit more easily, but I'd generally consider the navigational benefits negligible, especially if Street View is available for most of the route.

When I was at The Great Escape in Lake George, NY this summer, I spotted a the Google Maps guy riding around, taking pictures of the park for street view.

But it doesn't give you the experience of whining kids. Or overpowering vomit inducing feces odors. Or having to explain to your three year old why that boy lion is trying to climb on top of that other girl lion.

I discovered a while back that Google has also photographed the tracks at Laguna Seca and Daytona so you can take a virtual spin around there too. I imagine other race tracks have been photographed as well.

I love Google Street View - I spend a lot of time just taking virtual drives through cities that I know I would never have the chance to visit in real life. It's like a little armchair vacation.

Yankees Team Gynecologist: Why would you ever need to see your own street virtually?

It's not about need. It's about want.

Imagine this alongside streamed video from enclosures. Would be the Art Project equivalent for zoos.

I hope they get to Pere Lachaise, that would be cool.

Does anybody have humorous pics of themselves on Street View? I tried to get caught by them once - I actually chased him for a few blocks to make my kids laugh.

They've already done Legoland. When you drag the street view guy to the park he turns into a Lego figure.

The Chicago Lakefront Trail and Northerly Island are on here, which rocks. But the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe even more so.

I was looking at Florence in Street View earlier this year and accidentally found myself in the Uffizi Gallery. Pretty cool.
