Democrats offer nothing to parenting. They lack all the essential morals and ethics that allow an American child to grow up knowing his place in the world.

It would certainly add some difficulty to be with someone whose political views (and thus, your morals to some extent, your goals, etc) were too different from your own. Nothing unreasonable about that statement.

Two of my best friends are ultra conservatives, and a few other of my really good friends are really far to the left. And yet, we all get along well when we get together. Politics is just politics, and if it stops you from maintaining some sort of relationship with another person, then I venture it's you that have the problem.

Politics stops at the dinner table.

That's not so unusual.
I'm sure lots of people would want to kill anyone who was willing to have sex with Zorch.

I dunno... I find it hard to have dinner with an asshole. It's not just politics, one's moral values continue far beyond political affiliation. Why would I want to share my time with someone who's ethics and motivations are so opposite of mine? (or lack thereof).

What's amazing about French women is that they don't wear much makeup (they particularly wear a lot less concealer and eye makeup than American women) and hardly ever fix their teeth yet they look great.

I think friendship is one thing and your SO is another. Yes, I could see myself with someone more conservative, but I do think there are different values between the political ideologies. For instance, I don't believe in gun ownership for myself, but if my husband was really into them, it would create conflict within the household. Or, abortion. Or, my membership in a union if he's vehemently anti-union. Those types of things can come between couples.

Democrat women make no effort to be attractive for their men. They just assume that after a long day of undermining this great nation's long standing social structure and culture, that democratic men(as effeminate as they are) enjoy coming home to a woman who is nothing but outraged over something trivial like Christians enforcing their God-given majority over America, or that falsehood she calls a "glass ceiling". It's amazing that democrats even reproduce given that all true democratic women refuse to be mothers, instead engage in fornication with many men while on satanic birth control. But alas it falls to the college liberal indoctrination to turn so many our young into mindless socialists, begging for the government tit.

Not sure why I have to repeat myself... If people strongly lean to the opposite side of my moral and ethical views, they annoy me. Or more to the point, I find them to lack morals and ethics... why would I want to "expand my mind" and hang around with low IQ assholes for dinner?

Because they might not actually be 1) lacking in morals or 2) lacking in ethics, or 3) having low IQs, or 4) assholes. For all you know, they might think of you in the same way. You never know unless you broaden your horizons a little.

This has been the problem for most non-conservatives. When people constantly spit in your face about how crazy you must be not to have voted for reagan, bush, bush, bush and mcpalin, at some point you have to draw a line and stop being around those hateful people. (not saying that all conservatives do this)

One of my relatives has a shrine to st reagan in their house. they feel free to denigrate democrats including the obama and clinton, but if you hint at a negative comment about the GOP presidents their heads explode. Who needs that kind of behavior?

/god I wish people who STFU about how great their party is. CUT TAXES NOW!!!!

Because I have done your 1-4... and was proven right? When I *needed* company, I did try what you suggest, and through my experience, came to the result I am at.

Is it possible I that no everyone opposite of me fits one or all four? Sure.
Is it possible if I stick my hand on a hot stove, I won't get burnt? Sure.

However, why do either if experience has shown otherwise? To deny experience is to deny the things that have kept us alive for a millions of years.

Liberals have consistently undermined the sanctity of traditional marriage and the stability of the American family. They seem to hate the uniquely-American ideas of freedom, liberty, justice, and the pursuit of happiness. Liberals have a knack for trampling others' personal liberties and won't rest until everyone is living in their libbo-fantasy world. I can understand why nobody would marry some fundie liberal idiot.

Who said I did that? I enter any relationship open-minded with no pre-conceived notions... I've just learned (as humans do) that the opposite of me tends to be that way. I judge everyone on their own merits, but you can't discount personal experience.

I also don't see the value in spending time with someone who's opinions are so opposite of mine, and as I said, it goes beyond politics. I don't need personal contact so much that I spend time with people who bother me... I know some others do need human interaction that they will.

WTF Indeed: Democrats offer nothing to parenting. They lack all the essential morals and ethics that allow an American child to grow up knowing his place in the world.

Democrats can't be parents, For one, most of them are gay. Plus every time one of them gets pregnant, they abort it.

If I meet a conservative person who opposes gay marriage because his religion says so. Or that they think Obama is a neo-socialistic Maoist Nazi who wants to set up internment camps in the USA. Guess what, I'm not going to be friends with that person. Expanding your horizons to try and accommodate their beliefs is just a step backwards in terms of what I believe. The only way it expands my horizons is I get a first hand account at how stupid some people are.

This person could also donate to charity, help out elderly neighbors, and be an overall good person. That's great, but certain aspects of people will always rub other people the wrong way. I would probably shift a topic of conversation away from beliefs to something else and then afterwards not see the person again.
