Whew. At least they were quick to acknowledge it was an accident. If they were spoiling for a fight, they could have blamed it on an Israeli attack.

That said...bummer, Iran. Sorry. We're (U.S.) not on the best terms, but this kind of shiat can happen anywhere.

Remember, remember early October for that is when the Iranian Revolutionary Guard traditionally blows themselves up.

I read that as the opposite. They suspect it WAS Israelis and don't want to admit to the slip in security.

Hmm. Good point. Unfortunately, I'm already drunk, so my defenses are down. Fortunately, I have no involvement with U.S. foreign policy.

a consignment of explosive devices was being moved out from the arsenal, besides that some munitions in the arsenal exploded which created a terrifying sound," Revolutionary Guards spokesman Ramezan Sharif told state

Sharif don't like it.

DEAR OWS PROTESTORS/hippies/overeducated-liberal-arts-degree peeps.
YOU ARE gay/weak/ineffectual/etc. because you have no war to protest.
the hippies in the 60's *at least* had Vietnam.
The United States and/or other 'allies' might be getting ready to invade and blow the crap outta Iran just because they're making a certain rock from the soil shine-brighter/get-warm under certain conditions and making some water weigh more on a scale by filtering it a lot.
Iran is a beautiful people/place/culture birthplace/home of Zororastrianism.
if you want a new 'save tibet' then 'SAVE TEHRAN' (or some naming variant).
heck, you could even gain the benefit of protesting YOUR OWN GOVERNMENT instead of communist China (which is like 1,000's of km. away, anyway, subtracting meaning from your cool bumperstickers).

you could earn at least, like, 10 points for style!

think about the awesomeness!

Go Israel! proving once again their special forces are the best in the middle east. Damn straight Iran wouldn't admit Israel slipped passed their borders! Read the writing on the wall Ahmadinnerjacket, Israel will not be wiped from history, and they will end you if you threaten them again

Why would Israel hit only one base, and one that doesn't have anything to do with nuclear research? If they were going to launch a strike, wouldn't they aim for the nuclear development places?

Which is likelier?

1) Oops! Some of Iran's Revolutionary Guards tripped and blew themselves up.

2) Israel sent a "don't fark with us" shot across the bow.

Sometimes in the course of national defense, you have accidents. This appears to be an accident. Or like others have said, it could be an attack by special forces (Israeli or US led) and for whatever reason, Iran doesn't want to acknowledge the attack.
But whatever the case maybe, people died. A child is fatherless. Someone lost a son or a husband. You people cheering for that shiat is messed up. And you should be ashamed of yourself.

Considering the locations of Iran's lone reactor, its Uranium mines, Uranium enrichment facilities, research reactor and future reactor are ALL easily accessible on Wiki (Link (new window)), I doubt their intel was that bad. I spent less than 30 seconds Googling that.

Look, I have no love for Israel, but as an attack, this doesn't make sense. If you know their air defenses are weak, why would you hit one moderately significant target and kill only 17 Iranians? As a warning?

No, this doesn't fit Israel's MO. If Israel were attacking Iran, they'd go ALL FARKING OUT. Minor damage to a non-nuclear facility is no one's definition of "all-out."

So to agree with rhondajeremy, sometimes an accident is just an accident.

Too bad their president Amajeehadist wasn't there.

2011-11-12 02:40:27 PM
I say it's a perfect warning shot.

1) An "accident" at one of the nuclear facilities would have the rest of the western world questioning the safety of other installations, and would increase preassure for inspections.

2) If we are all expecting Israel to go all in, this is their version of a fish wrapped in newspaper

3) ..... Wait... I know this .... EPA?

Yea I know posting again.... But Nuclear bomb hoarder Israel, is our enemy, not our friend. Israel doesn't need the U.S. to do it's nuking, link
