Has England announced their squad yet? I'm seeing a hypothetical lineup here of Hart, Walker, Lescott, Cole, Parker, Jones, Walcott, Lampard, Downing, and Bent, but I'm not finding anything official anywhere.

I don't have a lot of hope that England will beat Spain today, unfortunately.

I don't care, barring some sort of horrendous disaster on Tuesday we're going to Poland/Ukraine, and hopefully a grudge match against those cheese eating surrender monkeys

International friendlies? Scoff. The FA Cup is where the real action is at. Bring on Fleetwood Town vs. Wycombe Wanderers!

ah yes, the town my mum, nan and great nan were born in vs the scumbags from the other side of the M40. I hope Fleetwood truly stuff them

CSB Time: My granddad played for Fleetwood Town in the 1948/1949 FA Cup first round tie away at Bradford City. They lost 9-0. I spend a while trying to hunt down a programme for that game, but to no avail.

that would settle real well with the rest of spain, whom think Barça are Catalonian, rather than Spanish.

The way Fox Soccer is talking, they sound like Capello will be out at the end of the year. Any truth to this?

that depends on how well the english perform in the summer euro tournament

I was under the impression Capello was going to leave after Euro 2012 regardless of how well they did.

So he's got 9 months or less to impress? I can't think of why he'd be shown the door, he's done a fine job honestly. Is the knock on him that he can't win the big ones?

When did Cech adopt the slick hairdo? That looks................................not that great on him. Stay with the curly locks Fabregas.

The teams are playing a bit safe, but England seems to be holding up well so far.

not enjoying these bad line calls on offside

2011-11-12 01:03:24 PM
I can't help but think that if it remains a midfield battle, Spain has too strong an advantage.

Hey, Stuart Downing! Yay!

Okay, Cesc, Mata and Reina on.
Reina? No Valdes? How far has he fallen from the pecking order?

Ooh, think Lamps was offside there. No matter, it's 1-0.

Stepped away from the radio and came back hearing talk of a goal. Prepared to post mocking comments on here about England's national crisis re: football, but then learned they've only gone and scored.

So, er, well done, England!

Torres should make an appearance in the last 20 or so.

And here he comes, to what seems to be a pro Liverpool crowd here.

2011-11-12 01:39:01 PM
these officials are terrible.

Jordi Alba might make the euro-spain squad this summer.

2011-11-12 01:45:16 PM
villa got robbed.
that was sick.

2011-11-12 01:46:58 PM
and in that replay of villas attempt, we see in perfect example why torres will always be an overrated turd.
nice attention, nice positioning, nice effort.
