The sea change was Disney stopped whoring out their franchises for the quick buck on straight to video releases. Almost magical isn't it...start producing a quality product again and profit.

I took my niece to Disney World a little while back and the place was packed. They're definitely not hurting on the the theme park tip.

No they're still doing those, trust me. My house is eagerly awaiting the next Tinker Bell movie that will complete the seasonal theme.

In all fairness, the Tinker Bell / Disney Fairies stuff that i've seen about to come out from Disney Toon Studios is exceptionally well produced. I'm glad they are taking back in-house some of the 3d animation stuff from Pixar.

Good, now release Song of the South (original release) and make more money.

are they still rolling out twenty year old movies on dvd "for a limited time before they return to the disney vault"

serious question, that shiat annoys me and im curious if they still do it.

also closing game studios they had no business buying pisses me off.

still i hope to see some hand drawn stuff, princess and the frog i think is the last time they did that.

Disneyland's been doing great since 2005.

WDW's quality has been cut back and back and back and back since '04ish, but still the parks are usually packed. difference is they've built the place up to support all that farking hotel space too and if the parks aren't PACKED packed, it doesn't fit WDW's business model.

Parks are only 30% or so of the company's profit though aren't they?

stellarossa: Was at magic kingdom yesterday on what was supposed to be the slowest week of the year; the place was packed.

We were there the 2nd week of Dec last year which is one of the slowest weeks of the year and the place was packed. I couldn't begin to image how horrible it would be during the summer and other weeks when its packed.

I have to admit we had a good time and i wasn't really expecting to. We are going back the same year...our daughter will be 6 and will be able to get on a lot more rides this go around.
