I'm sure it sucks. But shouldn't the Jill character be extreme? Alot of comedy relies on contrast.

The Daily Show had Sandler on last night, and the show opened with Stewart riffing on Perry's "three things" collapse while mentioning about how Sandler's done great movies like Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, and...... uh.....

I thought, given stuff like this, that the joke worked on multiple levels.

He's actually making the movies that he was making fun of making in Funny People.

I never saw that. Now that's funny.

"I was gritting my teeth 15 minutes in"

Hell - I was gritting my teeth 15 seconds into the trailer.

Who is his costar? She's kinda hot.

Can't actually remember the last Sandler movie I watched... can't say I miss them, either.

I tried to watch that earlier, had to exit. Having to sit through the entire trailer just wasn't worth the payoff.

Currently on the Tomato-meter: 4%

Bear in mind that tomato-meter aggregates critics' reviews.

Current audience approval rating: 67%

Even with Sandler going out there and basically saying, "I dare you to watch this," 67% of RT's users still did and liked it.

Sandler's movies have done more to raise mouth guard sales to prevent tooth damage among movie critics than just about any other "actor."

That's the advantage of making your own movies, no matter how stupid or unpleasant Sandlers characters are he will allways have a hot wife.

All Sandler's best comedies (Grown Ups, Bedtime Stories, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and the great Spanglish) are really love stories

Dear God Subby, what have you done?!

By giving it the img1.fark.net tag you've signaled to Hollywood that they should make a sequel! Now we'll see "Jack and Jill: Back Up The Hill".

I hope you're happy. You've ruined next year's Christmas movie season.

Wow. I couldn't even finish that.

That was actually a real movie? That's not just a cutesy joke trailer? Someone actually paid him to make that? And people are actually paying to watch it?

Was there really even a need to review this film? Did someone go in thinking, "I honestly don't know what to expect from it."

Sandler was on The Daily Show promoting this turd, and it was the most unfunny interview I think I've ever seen Stewart do. It's funnier to watch Jon verbally ass-rape Jim Cramer. F*cking Condoleeza Rice can drop better jokes than Adam Sandler, at this point. It's just embarrassing.

I muted that entire segment. I unmuted to catch Stewart's thing on Penn State, and I was glad to see he talked about it.

I kinda like it too, sadly, it was the last decent Sandler movie, now, it's nothing but horrible shtick and dumb gimmicks.

I missed it when he did the A-ta-ta-ta-tah thing.

I would prefer that shtick over the stupidity right now, .

The longest yard was bearable if you don't compare it to the first. A decent supporting cast makes up for a bit of the movies shortcomings.

I Pronounce you Chuck and Larry is a must see, if only for Beil's ass. It's that nice.

Is there any way in which this movie can be interpreted where the 'Jill' character doesn't really exist, where this horrible unsocialized shrew is no more than a fictional construct within Jack's troubled mind?

Because if so that might be kind of okay.

Little Nicky wasn't all that bad, just not up to snuff with Sandler's older stuff, and I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry wasn't that bad, just not great, but it has Biel's ass, which is awesome. You forgot Big Daddy, which was also decent. 50 First Dates was actually kind of touching. YMMV of course.

It was incredibly sad. Plugging this movie makes even Sandler completely dead inside.

Punch Drunk Love was odd in a good way. His character has problems and doesn't know how to communicate.

I dunno why people shiat on Adam Sandler so much. The guy has given us some pretty damn good movies over the years, and let's face it, it's hard to be consistently funny over like what.. a 20 year period?

And hell, at least he's not Mike Myers. Holy shiat.

All that being said, yeah he's probably only been in like 5 or 6 movies I like and the rest of them are crap. But that's alot better than someone like say, Ryan Reynolds who is evidently a big movie star or something and has been in nothing but movies I want to poop on.

Also, did anyone else think that if they had just taken the first hour of Funny People and pretty much left it at that, it would have been a good movie? My wife and I were talking about this after we saw it - the opening and middle bit of that movie are actually good, it's just the ending that rapes all the fun out of it. Hmm... think that's not a Sandler movie even though he's in it, maybe Judd Aptow...

Who btw, has made some awesomely funny movies and some crap as well. I think comedy is just hard to do consistently well.

The Longest Yard was harmless fun in my book. Chris Rock was decent (which is a stretch for him in movies - Dogma is still his best role), and Courtney Cox's tits were epic. Was I the only one who did a double take when she bent over and you saw down her dress, and I was like "Farkin' Chandler, lucky bastard...."?

I like Zohan. Maybe becuase it was introduced to me by someone who almost doesn't really know who Sandler is. Very over-the-top.

Also: "Puppies!"

That being said, never mind gritting my teeth, I'd rather take a belt sander to my face than watch one of his films. He was ok in Shakes.

Ive enjoyed the rom coms where he has teamed up with Drew Barrymoore. He put me in mind of a modern day Jimmy stuart

there, Ive said it

but fark Spanglish. and fark ANY rom com or whatever where the majority of the flick is people in love yelling at each other

s2s2s2: Why, because you are reviewing a kids movie as if it was for adults?

THIS!

You know how freaking hard it is to find a movie for an 6 year old, 10 year old and 15 year old?
We ended up watching Zookeeper, which wasn't ALL bad. (Unlike most of you, I can watch darn near anything without complaining), but sometimes kids just want to watch some stupid farting movie and an adult has to be present, so it's not like I'm expecting Airplane or anything.
I hate these retards who complain about obvious kids movies like every movie should be made for everyone all the time.

Because I tell you what. I rented Wild Things for the kids and halfway through Denise Richards sex scene, I was disgusted about how much the plot deviated from the kids book.

I suppose you could pay me to watch an Adam Sandler movie, but it would take a lot of money. Getting me to watch this particular noisome nugget would cost enough to buy a South Pacific island.
