So instead of bringing food home to a 7 year old the mom takes her back into town at 11:30 p.m. getting back to the house at 1 a.m. Yeah, that doesn't sound at all suspicious. She works in a check cashing business which means she deals with the scum of the earth day after day too so she would easily be able to recruit an untraceable hitter in day to day activities and it means she has no residue on her from the 14 gunshots. It also means that if a few days later some dirt bag turns up dead the cops wouldn't suspect her either. That's some great police work there Lou. Gomer Pyle.

I know, right? And there's more; I read an account on the internets (and thus it is known to be COMPLETELY FACTUAL) that Pauley Perette's personality is scarily close to that of Abby. Add in the fact that she has a real degree in forensic science, and I would kill to take a time machine back to the writing meetings pre-season-one to see how much Abby was developed before they cast her, and how much the character got changed at that point.
