(Fark)   What is the strangest food craving you have ever had? Did you give in to your cravings? Last night, subby drank about a fourth of a bottle of Italian dressing because it sounded good   (fark.com) divider line 657

What I used to love as a small child:
spaghetti noodles & mashed potatoes...from Golden Corral. Only GC.
Also, egg noodles on a hotdog bun (no hamburger buns, thats just weird) + ketchup.

I was a jacked up little boy. I didnt/still dont like candy all that much.

After living in Hawaii for over a decade, I've become addicted to a couple local favorites:

Spam Musubi (Spam and rice wrapped in seaweed):

Poke (Raw fish mixed with seaweed):

Tako Poke (Raw squid mixed with seaweed):

And no: I'm not Japanese, nor do I normally eat fish. I grew up in a Polish family in New Jersey. But for some reason, I just can't stop eating this stuff!

Spaghetti tacos!

I might be willing to give this a try. My kids have wanted to try it ever since they saw it on an episode of iCarly.

kwame: Speaking of cornbread.

My mom used to crumble up cornbread, then put pinto beans on top of that, and drizzle the whole thing with pickle juice. I crave that sometimes out of nostalgia. It's really quite good.

Same here, except it was both of my parents, and it was pickled pepper juice. My dad also had a thing for canned black olives--he would eat an entire can or even two when he got the craving, and then would have the awfullest farts afterwards. He developed a taste for them serving in the marines in the fifties--apparently black olives were something you could have unlimited quantities of the places he served, and he was very much the starving kid when he joined.

I just read the rest of this thread as I hadn't checked in since work Friday and realize that it is no coincidence that I ate more bad food this past weekend than I can remember. I blame this thread entirely. Here's a partial wrap-up that is disgusting to type and incredibly embarrassing to remember;

Filet-o-Fish
McRibb
McDouble
Buffalo chicken pizza slice (and a white slice)
2 bags of Pepperidge Farm cookies
bag of Cheddar flavored potato chips
Gray's Papaya hot dogs (2: 1 with onions 1 with kraut)
Stromboli
cheese danish (in addition to a jalepeno egg & cheese wrap)
cheeseburger & fries
2 bottles of cheap champagne for Sat & Sun mimosas
3 bottles red wine & 1 bottle white

Now granted I had some pot and nothing to do, but it's still the craziest junk food binge I've been on since college.
Sound fat? No kidding. Still digesting everything and feel gross.
