At the atomic level, eh? I wonder just how close to the, ahem, "metal" this simulation goes?

I wasn't really surprised to read that they can only simulate about 770 picoseconds in day, in 1 femosecond steps. Still boggles the mind, when you consider that relatively common protein folding and chemical binding simulations include a lot of mathematical hand waving "yeah, it kinda does this, probably, under maybe these conditions."
