MeinRS6: This first gen stuff never works all that great, but it's an interesting concept. I think the hardest part would be keeping the oil at the proper temp. It looks like it would only be good for around 3-4 people tops as well.


It's shiny, and I want it, but my first thought was that I could feed less people with it at once than I can with my Weber Q. This one is probably perfect if you're just feeding you and the kids though. With the Weber I carry a cast iron pan, with this Blacktop one that's unnecessary, and I wonder if you could even boil water in that center space if you didn't put oil in it.

Maybe if you only have like 2-3 people to feed. But it would take hours in that tiny fry bowl to fry a good amount of fires. Plus they even show in the video that you have to have bought a temp gauge to put it in and HOPE that it never falls in. Maybe a built in one, part of the side of the bowl.
