Do what the ad agency didn't: Google Rule 34.

2011-11-10 08:07:19 PM
Anyone know the agency? This has got to be an inside joke.

2011-11-10 08:23:03 PM
With the existence of so many internet memes, wouldn't you think there's GOT to be someone at the ad agency who spends maybe an hour a week just doing basic Google searches of taglines in ads and such?

Try our new stew with even more goat. You can see the goat in it, can't you Pedro? "Goat? Si."

2011-11-10 08:23:31 PM
Well, Rule 34 usually has to do with being inside the box so there is truth in advertising.

2011-11-10 08:43:04 PM
Bojangles is f*cking delicious and you should feel bad, subs. I'd kick my mother in the tits if they came back to town.

absolutely fabulous

2011-11-10 10:51:51 PM
Hmm, yeah. That's my kind of tailgating. Now I'm certainly thinking of getting inside the box... but wouldn't the thighs and breasts be outside the box? That part had me a bit confused.

/just don't choke on the chicken

Either that or the Bojangle's marketing folks are geniuses for intentionally making it rule 34 just so other websites can pick up on it and repost it as free advertising.

Which wouldn't surprise me in today's world.

What does "today's world" have to do with it? To the average person it doesn't mean anything, while to the Internet person it's FREE ADVERTISING to people that mostly won't get offended.

Exactly my point. Look up "viral advertising".

I lol'd.

Somebody thought "Rule 34" sounded familiar..

2011-11-11 06:28:25 AM
Rule 34 11656 up, 1354 down

Generally accepted internet rule that states that pornography or sexually related material exists for any conceivable subject.

Additionally it is accepted that the rule itself has limitations and you cannot be too specific on the content of the item in question.

Most commonly used on various message boards for various reasons, from humor to cruelty.
I invoke rule 34 on the Rescue Rangers. What have I done.

No, I disagree with premise that the ad agency needs to be fired. The researched the issue and it gives the ad opportunities for others to comment on it and thereby creates a viral-like sensation on the internet.

Agreed... do they get free pub on Fark.com (and numerous other blogs I am guessing) if they do "Rule #27"? Don't think so.

I know it's early...but dang...I watched the clip, didn't get what the fuss was all about, had my coffee and watched it again..

Never forget that only Farkers are clever enough to think of things like this or suggestive, humorous headlines.

/Yes, we're that special

I'm sorry, but this doesn't rise to the level of snerk-worthy. It just smells like a 4-channer retard race.

That was intentionally done for that commercial to go viral. It is pretty obvious with the opening reference to rule 34 and then with the increased emphasis that they put on tailgating, box, and being inside the box. I can't be the only one that is seeing this.

2011-11-11 09:54:54 AM
In my years at an ad agency, I've seen worse. But this is funny. How about mistranslated spanish text that says "Our product is shiat".

I don't imagine they needed to. The word on their drum stick in the box is getting around.

The question is, is what is the fark handle.
