This is an interesting game they're playing. "Professor" isn't enough of an insult in Massachusetts to hurt her, but it IS something that will raise cash from out of state morons.

Honestly, I think the GOP wants a liberal boogieman in Ted Kennedy's old seat. They have to know they couldn't keep Brown there forever, and this way you have someone that can *REALLY* raise the cash- she's a broad what don't know her place, and she wants you to look bad in front of your girl.

2011-11-10 02:27:48 PM
Does Brown even have that much support any more? I thought the Baggers declared him a RINO.

2011-11-10 02:28:20 PM
Supporting drug using talk radio blowhards is still perfectly acceptable, however.

Hey, run with the best thing you have. It's a low risk strategy and Sen. Warren won't be vindictive, probably.

Heh... She hasn't even got the nomination yet and this woman has got the GOP scared shiatless.

Good. She's exactly the kind of politician we need in this country right now and I can't wait to vote for her to represent me in the Senate.

keylock71: Heh... She hasn't even got the nomination yet and this woman has got the GOP scared shiatless.

She's doing another one of those "Volunteer meetups" on Sunday at 2pm. The ones she did in Brockton and the Cape and the berkshires were SRO.

I cannot imagine how many people will show up on Sunday. I wish wish wish I was in town, I'd even deal with the $#&*# red line shuttle bus to go hang.

In the unlikely case that Democrats hold a majority in the Senate after the election, she should walk up to Reid and say 'You are sitting my chair, GTFO!'

Hell, make her Majority leader now, even before she's elected.

I think they're already afraid of her running for President in 2016.

I like how strident and unashamed she is of her opinions. No hedging, no sugar coating, no anger. Just a clear statement of her principles.

I assume the former, obviously. I was going to pick one that's very clearly from a rally but apparently GIS of "tea party hoverround" will show old people holding boobs or something I closed the window really fast and went with the quickest option.

Obama and the Democrats made a big mistake by inciting the class warfare that led this OWS movement and by supporting the movement itself. People are going to hold Democrats responsible for the radicalism and violence.

Dusk-You-n-Me: Warren responds.

We need a lot of voices saying, we've got to have change. Because it's clear: Washington's not looking to change on its own. And Wall Street is going to keep pumping money into Washington, pumping it into elections, to make sure that their way is the dominant way in this country. I think that's wrong.

Can we clone her?

I often forgive him due to the realities of office, the unthinking force of the opposition, and the shiat storm left over from Bush. But yes, I find him too accommodating. He needs put his foot down more.

If you look closely at a larger picture, you'll see the lady is holding a "Mickey Mouse" ice cream bar, with the two ears bitten off. I assume the picture was taken at Disneyland/world and re-purposed.

I don't get the whole class warfare talking point. I understand trying to discredit the OWS movement by linking it to violence or drug use or damn hippies or whatever, but not the class warfare idea. How can you look at the economic and political events of the past five or ten years and come away with the idea that it is some sort of class warfare and that the super rich people are the victims? That's just beyond crazy.

Based on the recent election returns from Ohio and Mississippi I'd say its the GOP that's got the bigger problem. most of the 'big ticket' test balloon items floated by the GOP at the state level got crushed by the voters.

this part is particularly interesting to me:

"The 'Occupy Wall Street' movement is the wrong response to our country's economic morass," said Nate Hodson, Crossroads GPS Director of State and Regional Media Relations, in a statement. "This issue ad is designed to alert citizens to the radical views of Elizabeth Warren and turn up the heat for solutions that help Massachusetts's job creators instead of propping up her intellectual theories."

note how he says that OWS is wrong, but doesn't say WHY they're wrong? that seems a very strange omission to me. If I see something I think is wrong, I'll say 'hey, that's wrong and here's why blahblahblah'. But not this guy. To him, the OWS crowd is 'wrong'. No reason, no discussion, they're just wrong and that's it.

Indeed. All of the culture war hot buttons they put up to entice social conservatives to the poll backfired, as did the ones targetted at fiscal conservatives. The momentum and energy is on the side of the Dems, provided that state legislatures aren't completely successful at disenfranchising and caging voters leading into next November.

you'd figure that would be warning enough to the GOP that their bullshiat isn't sticking as well as they think.
