I read that as "American Journal of Episiotomy", was relieved when I realized my mistake and yet, strangely crestfallen at the same time...

Meh. Everything is bad for you. Take everything in moderation (within reason) and live a happy life.

It pretty much captured my feelings as well - starting with Laurent's point that wine is consumed in a few different fashions than, say, vodka. (I don't know many vodka drinkers who pair Absolut with their food).

You see subby, it has good effects and it has bad effects, and the question is whether the good effects outweigh the bad effects, which is an extremely difficult question to answer.

Doesn't matter what you eat. If you're drinking vodak, there's a good chance you're planning on tasting it again.

not to mention other lifestyle choices of the study participants. Did they eat fried food? Where did they live and what did they do for a living? All of this could be considered relevant.

Please do because my diet and exercise regimen is pretty damn good. Just so happens I drink 3 or 4 beers a day and get loaded at least once every few weeks.

And by the way, so what.

I don't know, but they all sound like they would burn like hell, and I don't even have girl parts. A wine douche may also introduce some unwelcome yeast issues.

Crap! I just had to stop eating eggs last week, because they're bad for you again. Fortunately, coffee is good for you for now, so I'm drinking a cup every morning. I missed the latest update on sunlight, though. I've been compromising by slathering sun screen on half my body and letting the other half get nice and browned. Do you think that's good enough? Or am I going to die?

Yes, your sun screen behavior is wise and you will be seen as such.

Or am I going to die?

No, you will live forever. I promise.

Tequila douche, here.

Eh, not really. More of a kindly drunkard who enjoys tequila shots as my primary hard liquor. But, I think Patron is garbage...the only halfway decent one might be their anejo or whatever their top shelf stuff is.

Silver or plata tequila is shiat. It needs to be rested (reposado) or aged (anejo) in oak barrels for a bit in order to be decent IMO.

There are lots of good anejo's under $25 / fifth in my state, for example, try Espolon Anejo (it has the day of the dead skeletons on the bottle). Holds up next to most more expensive anejos.

I love Don Julio tequila as a top shelf. I'll take a Cazadores for a mid range option, and Sauza Hornitos is an acceptable every-day after-work shot.

Cuervo Gold is not tequila.

Don't tell my liver. It can't take any more bad news. I penned it a delicate love letter in gin, but it evaporated away. I sent it a warm ethanolic hug, but passed out before it could thank me. The antifreeze was sweet, but the whiskey kept me straight. I drowned in a whole river of beer, lord, but the liquor.

anyone who exceeded moderate consumption (defined as one drink per day) were at a much greater risk for developing cancer.
Gee, alcoholism is bad for you? Gosh, I had no idea!

I'm sure there are parts of this study that they're not talking about. They also seem to not take into consideration the absurdly high amount of centarians in Sicily, where they drink wine like water.
Or the entire nation of Germany, where beer is considered a staple food.

They must be talking about hard liquor. Because, yeah, a whole glass of hard liquor a day WOULD fark you up good.

Sure. And I'm being literal. I think it must be bottled in Jalisco or some shiat in order to be tequila. As I understand in, Cuervo is trucked up to the states in tankers, then they add a bunch of grain alcohol, chemicals and insect feces to it, and bottle it in, like, Connecticut. I'm probably inaccurate, but I believe the general concept is correct.

It is evil nasty crap. I remember back in the 90's bars started serving it when you ordered tequila. People thought it was an upgrayedd because gold is better than silver. Had to start specifically ordering silver or you'd get crapassed Cuervo.

I was a happy man when my local finally started stocking Hornitos.
