Attractive people being gaming nerds or attractive people claiming to be gaming nerds is interesting. Film at 11.

Her face in those photos reminds me a bit of Cyndi Lauper.

Bingo. Minecraft causes my poor baby to chug it's little Fujitsu heart out. Besides, I still haven't played Oblivion yet. Maybe I'll get it first and then move on to Skyrim once I finally upgrade to a better rig.

Since that's the case, why not build your own? You can buy pieces when you have the cash, over the course of a few months or so, and then either assemble it yourself, or ply a local nerd with alcohol until the agree to assemble it for you.

somedude210: btw, what card is that?

It's a picture of the one I linked, an HD-6670. DX11-capable, $84. 800MHz, 1GB RAM. Very good entry-level card.

Bonus- Normal-length PCIe card. Not a giant-ass 14" monster*. And, no additional power connector required.

Myself, I run two 6950s that I'm THINKING about watercooling to cut down on the noise.

That's basically the plan. I just recently moved so I'm essentially living out of boxes atm. Once that gets over and done with slaying dragons and making levitation potions will become a priority again.

You can get a drunk nerd to do anything, Miss. Unpacking should be included.

A drunken, skinny armed, nearsighted, blinded by the newfound glare of the sun nerd unpacking my precious valuables*? I think plying some rugby players with booze might be a better alternative.

*total value of all my valuables is ~ $46

I'm really looking forward to it, but I'm just too busy to buy a copy. In between bouts of crying myself to sleep I rationalize that by waiting a while I'm avoiding launch-day bugs, letting the mod community start to create amazing extra content, and letting the price drop down a bit and/or go on sale.

It doesn't really make me feel better, though. The next couple of weeks of SKYRIM MANIA are going to be torture.

I'd be less worried about your valuables and more worried about your ... unmentionables.

Nothing like finally seeing everything unpacked and realizing that you only have one old pair of panties in the house.

Going to be a very long wait for the postman from amazon to arrive tomorrow. Release date shipping, so it should be here on time.

Can't wait. Game looks fantastic, and I'm eager to see what the modders do to it over the next few years. this is my last gaming purchase till late January, and I don't think i'll be disappointed.

Takes five minutes to punch your credit card number in here (and an hour or two to download it):

Of course, I'm not buying it, due to my current Steam library with of dozens of games I haven't played yet.

I'm running it fine on a $300 laptop with integrated graphics. The graphics cards to run this game were out five years ago.

That having been said, this game is amazing. So much better than Oblivion.

It cannot be that good if you are in here commenting on it instead of playing it. Even bad crack tends to get smoked before you find something else to do.

Sorry, let me rephrase that. I'm only too eager to punch my credit card in for the game right this very second. What I mean is, I'm way too busy to have such an appealing distraction at my fingertips. There's just way too many things that wouldn't get done while I sink the next month into Skyrim.

I'm getting it tonight, but probably won't have the time or inclination to play it anytime soon. Might come back to it in 2012.
