The Telegraph reports that the two-year-old cat, Mowgli, was eventually able to escape but was in a "very distressed state."

Michelle Buchanan, who owns the cat, said:

I think the fact that the CCTV vid only captures a snapshot every second or so makes it seem more comical.

One of my cats got tangled up in the cords underneath the television. There was no farkin' way I was going to help that cat out of that mess. Nothing but blurry fur, and claws, for about a minute before it untangled itself. Reminded me of the Taz cartoons.

I would wait until the dude let go of the cat, then plant a foot dead in his bag.

The swinging cat makes approaching that douchebag to punch him more complicated. After all, he might hit you with the pissed off cat you're trying to help.
