What the fark is a tooth worm? Couldn't you just like, pull them out with tweezers or something?

I've never even heard of a tooth worm. Maybe that's because I brush my farking teeth and don't let flies lay maggots in my mouth. Call me strange.

How do the worms end up on the brick if they are in the person's mouth but the treatment is held up the ear and there is no other way for the worms to get onto the brick?

Don't know if it's significant, but until the early 20th century, Western dentists thought that people with severe root pain had worms, as they could see them in the bottom of their damaged teeth, wiggling around. Pulling them out/killing them was extremely painful.

Ah, I hadn't thought of that. I know that's a great use for maggots. It's gross to have them in your mouth like that, but still a good use to eat the dead flesh.

The fear is stupidity on my part. I had a bad experience as a child, 4 teeth pulled prior to being fitted with braces, followed by 3 years of the old medieval torture type braces. On top of that my Mom always had bad teeth and whenever she talked about the dentist it was always about how horrible her root canals were.

I had a root canal, cap & crown about 2 years ago - the first dental procedure I had in about a decade, and it wasn't bad at all. The price wasn't fun, but it wasn't painful. Now I need another one, but haven't had the money. I finally saved up enough, I'm relieved. I might actually be able to eat Thanksgiving dinner.

From what I understand of Portuguese, it states that this was indeed an infestation with fly larvae and not any kind of therapy. The next pics were taken later the same day after the start of treament. The last few pics are are from two weeks later.
