I'd say it's more of a 'preserves' session.

And we're done here.

"Hey Mick, I heard your latest side project failed (again) to make you relevant outside of the Stones. Me and the boys are going to be back in London rehearsing if you wanna come and join us with hat in hand and tail between legs."

Keefy is loving this.

Are they really going to do a free-form jazz exploration in front of a festival crowd?

I still like the stones, but ever since I saw the "Dancing in the Street" video again, I can't take Jagger (or Bowie) as seriously as I used to.

Well, the truth is that the song writing is much more Keith than Mick and the proof of this is in their solo material; Keith's rocks and Mick's sucks.

It really is that simple.

As for the reissues I came into about 25 cds of outtakes from the late 60s through Tattoo You and there is some great stuff there. In fact I've got two different versions of Some Girls and Tatoo You other than what was released.
11 minutes of Miss You, different mixes of 'When the Whip Comes Down'.

Too bad Keith spent most of his life farked up, who knows what kinds of stellar music he would have written.

25 cds? Where might such a thing be procured?

Will Mark "Cutback" Davis or Bob "Jungle Death" Gerrard be there?

If you haven't read Keith's autobiography, I highly recommend it. He comes off as extremely cool and down to earth, and indicates he's been sober for years now. He takes plenty of digs at Mick and is madly in love with his wife.

I liked the guy a lot more after reading it.

I've preordered the Some Girls: Live in Texas blu-ray. Can't wait.

Also got "Ladies and Gentlemen: TRS" and Gimmie Shelter on blu-ray and they are awesome.

Without Mick Taylor, they just don't have that much jam.
