Seeing as a DNA test in a crime lab costs $1000, and the labs are all backed up on homicides and rapes, this will never happen. The cost isn't worth the benefit.

CSB: Friend who moved to Virginia from New York more than a decade ago recently tried to routinely renew her driver's license online. Didn't work. Called DMV. Virgina DMV said the NY DMV had a hold on her license and she'd have to call them. She called NYS DMV and they claimed she had not turned in her plates after she moved. She had to pay them $25 to take the hold off her Virginia license. To add to the WTF qualities of this story, the rude-assed DMV person in NY told her that she had been driving on a suspended license all this time. News to her and the state of Virginia.

Reminds me of an idea a buddy of mine had for getting rid of the sidewalk dog poo problem. When you get your dog license, they would take a DNA sample. Then when some lazy ass lets his dog drop a warm stinky one on the sidewalk, you know where to send the ticket.
