I think this entire episode explains why Cain is unqualified to be president. And not for the sexual harassment charges.

Seriously, if I ever run for President, the first thing I'm going to do is sit down with my staff / friends / allies and come up with every possible thing that someone could reasonably use as an attack. Then, we organize a strategy for each thing.

Not only did he not have a strategy for this, he's acted like he didn't see it coming. Really? A settlement took place over something you did, and you think it's over and done with, never to be heard from again?

I'll gladly give him every benefit of the doubt on these charges, but one of the main roles of a President is to see things coming and deal with them properly. And he's failed that spectacularly.

Cain was a civilian employee of the Navy. I think Romney received a deferment to on a mission to France.

Cain graduated HS in 1963 and got his Master's in 1971. He worked for the Navy in a civilian capacity, and the draft ended in 1973. So did he take student deferments?
