Mark Block continues to morph into Nathan Thurm.

As I mentioned in an earlier thread, as a Politico reader, it's rather surreal to see Politico cast as an arm of the vast left-wing conspiracy, considering its readership skews a good way to the right and the editorship of Politico is center-right at the very least.

To be fair, compared to the shiat spewing fromthe GOP's collective mouth that does sound leftist.

Anything left of Limbaugh is left biased. Only Limbaugh, Hannity, and sometimes O'Reilly give it to you straight.

If I thought he was actually running for office, as opposed to promoting his book, I would too. The problem is that a substantial portion of the electorate is not in on the joke.

I agree... Cain is going to cash in once the dust settles.

He has no serious infrastructure in any early voting or battleground states.

Like I said in the earlier thread, this is just ACT II of The Herman Cain PR Tour.

It's cool, they've already clarified that it is someone else's fault. Sure, the journalist in question already put out a statement telling everyone "I don't work for Politico anymore and am in no way related to the woman", but they weren't aware of it at the time. They had heard the allegation but had not heard anyone refute it, and if no one denies the charge it must be true. Shame on whoever fed them false information. Heck, they will soon confirm that it was probably the media who put the rumor out there trying to lead Cain's campaign on and make them look like fools.

"Based upon information available at the time of Mr. Block's Tuesday night interview on Fox News, the campaign was led to believe that Mr. Josh Kraushaar, currently with the National Journal and a former employee of Politico, was the son of Karen Kraushaar," campaign spokesman J.D. Gordon said. "We have since learned that is not the case." (new window)

See? Honest mistake made based on the information available at the time that lead them to say the rumors were definitely true. I'm surprised Block didn't also say that they have proof Obama is behind this because of Sharon Bialek's relationship with a man named David Axelrod. (new window)

He was going to fail anyway because economics criticized his 9-9-9 plan of being a terrible plan and he is poor with clarity about it. Then this thing happened. It's like watching an amateur in a talent show trying to seem flashy only to suddenly set the stage on fire. He wasn't going to win but he made everything more hilarious.

Josh Kraushaar tweeted earlier in the day, apparently after getting questions, that he's in fact not related to Karen Kraushaar, and simply has the same last name.

I guess they all look the same to him.

Politico is a liberal plant website the funded by the Rand Corporation, in conjunction with the saucer people under the supervision of the reverse vampires.

We're through the looking glass here, people.

Cain has consistently relied on conflation and obfuscation. His handling of harassment accusations will be no different. He depends on the stupidity of his supporters.

Classy - meanwhile, Rush Limbaugh called Sharon Bialek's teenage son a "Nazi brownshirt" for encouraging her to speak publicly about Cain's alleged assault.

The GOP seems hell-bent on losing the 2012 presidential election. I've heard some theories that the party apparatus intends to throw the White House this cycle while trying to increase their hold on the legislative branch, in order to spend four years obstructing anything Obama proposes and purposely trying to drive the government's finances off a cliff.

At minimum, it makes for better eleven-dimensional chess than "idiots on parade".

Craptastic: Which accuser? There's, like, five now.

The one who he claims he just told was the same height as his wife. Her name finally came out and it is Karen Kraushaar. Josh Kraushaar was a reporter at Politico, and they are the organization that broke the story. This led to online conjecture that either Politico set up this claim somehow or that Karen Krausharr (who had been avoiding the media until her name leaked) had manufactured the scandal through her son Josh.

Mark Block went on Hannity and pointed out the politico connection, and when asked by Hannity stated that the campaign had confirmed the relationship between Josh and Karen Krausharr. Meanwhile Josh Krausharr is out there tweeting that he left Politico for the National Journal over a year ago and is not related to Karen Krausharr at all.

Cue campaign saying that they were acting on all the information that was available when they said they had already verified the rumor accurate.

You know what though? As a Paul supporter I'm starting to feel like we're no longer the craziest political junkies in the game. The people supporting Cain have had to really twist up their own minds to still be supporting him.

So carry on. By the time it's over, the Paulites are going to look so classy.

From wiki:

John F. Harris and Jim VandeHei left The Washington Post to become Politico's editor-in-chief and executive editor, respectively, launching the newspaper on January 23, 2007. Frederick J. Ryan Jr., former Assistant to President Ronald Reagan,[2] is president and CEO.[3]

After the liberal watchdog group Media Matters for America accused Politico of having a "Republican tilt", Politico's Ben Smith answered: "Media Matters has a point: ...that Bush's public endorsement made us seem too close to the White House. That was clearly a favor from the president to us (albeit a small one), and felt to me like one of those clubby Beltway moments that make the insiders feel important and the outsiders feel (accurately) like outsiders."

It does show how utterly desperate they are in doing research on these women. Seriously, if they are checking out the names of everyone who lives in the same building as them, you know Cain has people pawing through their garbage hoping to find that they have a subscription to Cosmo as proof they are sluts.
