As someone who had a Malinois for a family dog, I do agree on the intensity part. However, it's not like they're bad to have. The Malinois is the most loyal dog one can ask for -- so protective of you and your family. The key to this breed is to give them something to do. Even if it's just bringing in the paper every morning. Just give them some sort of job. This breed is very smart and learn pretty quick so training isn't super hard.
