At least he had a sense of humor about it.

Wellon Dowd: That's funnier than any of his movies.

Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Let me clarify: that's funnier than any of his movies released in this century.

Well, at least Hollywood studios can say now say they're on the cutting edge.

Dumbasses.

I'll go with that too.

I don't think I've seen anything he's done for the past 10 years.

Okay how about this. Adam Sandler has like a sister who is his twin, but she has downs syndrome.

I wonder sometimes if some of the more popular/influential Hollywood stars are a bit flabbergasted at the amount of seriousbzbz people take their offhanded comments with.

No pics of the palm frond mustache, no care.

Hey, how can you tell that Adam Sandler hasn't done anything funny or remotely entertaining in the past 10+ years?

They still refer to him as the Happy Gilmore star....

/Mr Deeds was okay...

I agree most of his recent stuff is really, really bad - but over the past 10 years, I didn't want to tear my eyes out over:
-50 First Dates
-Anger Management
-Punch-Drunk Love

The rest really were a waste, especially Spanglish, Grownups, and Don't mess w/ the Zohan.

2011-11-09 12:52:31 PM
If he didnt want the tree cut down then why did he go out of his way to call the studio? - And why did it matter that the sony studio was near by?

Clearly he was being a stuck up big star making a complaint.

2011-11-09 01:00:23 PM
I sadly enjoyed Don't Mess with the Zohan. In a guilty pleasure sort of way.

And 50 First Dates just seemed kinda disturbing to me.

Hand to God, that's probably my favorite romantic comedy from the 2000-2010 period, primarily because they didn't "cheat" at the end and make her miraculously better. Well, that and Sean Astin playing a lisping 'roid head.

Funny People was a crappy movie, but it was funny

Pretty much Madison, Gilmore, Waterboy, and Punch Drunk Love were all I could take from him as far as movies were concerned. His earlier music/skits weren't bad...

It's not that it's like, 'laugh-out-loud' funny. It's that sort of funny where you think "that was pretty clever, and the delivery
was perfectly deadpan... why am I not laughing? Maybe I don't get it. No.. no.. I get it.. all the ingredients are there up to
and including the classic SNL 'wring the joke until dust comes out' timing.. By god it SHOULD be funny, but I'm not
laughing. Fark it. It's funny. Not really. But that's why it's funny. Fark, I dunno. Maybe stupid people think it's funny. That's got
to be it. That's why I'm not laughing. No... it's smarter than that... but not by much. MAybe it's a parody of what people are
supposed to find funny. shiat ,I just can't figure this out god damn Adam Sandler", but then all that comes out is a sort of muffled "heh".

Whoa, jesus dude. Did you type that all out on your phone or something?

Anyway, I'm sure I giggled at this line the first time I saw that movie but I'm just perplexed by how often it's quoted, often with a screencap of that guy.

Sony will probably buy a mature palm tree for $10,000 and plant it where the old one was when the marketing campaign is over.

And then they will charge the production company $20,000 for marketing expenses.
