I don't see how it is fair that they guy who came in second place gets to take office since a majority of the voters voted against him. Instead there should be a new election.

I think it's the article writer doesn't know the difference between "two," "too," and "to," so he/she used the numeral "2" instead. It's still farking stupid.

I certainly hope so. I'd hate to think that journalists everywhere write as terribly as they do here in MI. Like every other field, the talent is too expensive to hire. So it moves to another state.

So? It happens. I voted for a dead man awhile back; the town supervisor died of a heart attack a few weeks before election day. No one liked his opponent, even when he campaigned basically saying, "Vote for me. I have a pulse."

It also happened in Missouri not so long ago, too.
