I loved those skits. I really wish they had done more. was born for that role and it was one of the few characters he did that was tolerable simply because it was supposed to be so silly.

Bought the album the day it came out....it's nowhere near as good as "Fallen" or "Origin," but also doesn't get too close to the suck level of "The Open Door." It's a solid...meh. A decent song here and there, but nothing overly memorable.

Someday Luis Royo will just try to draw his models freehand instead of copying photographs from a Victoria's Secret catalog...he lost me when he did a version of Liv Tyler as a Christ figure wearing a metallic 'crown of thorns'. Ditto for Laetitia Casta drawn with Archangel X-Men metallic wings.

I get the interest of merging glamor photography with fantasy/sci-fi/steampunk, but it gets a little derivative after a point.

I didn't care a much for them when they came out. Didn't like it much but I got it. What better time to be dark and broody and wish to be lost in that ephemeral time of youth then when you can. But over 30 years old, her brooding, dark, angsty lyrics don't seem to have a lot of merit behind them. They've been radio friendly, have fans, made money, make music for a living, tour and all that. How dark and empty can her life be? Oh well, I suppose as long as their are teen girls, and teen boys treating them like shiat, this band will always have an audience.

Being a fan of female vocalists, I liked it. Wasn't as good as some of the earlier efforts, but it was enjoyable.

Would much rather have Lacuna Coil, especially if they got rid of the male vocalist. Oh well.

BTW, my taste is music is mine. Yours is yours. I don't give a crap about how awesome your taste is and how mine sucks.

Saw Evanescence live. Took two of my kids for their first concert. The opener was some band that really sucked. Then they had Sick Puppies. Sick Puppies was awesome. Lots of audience participation and energy and fun. Stayed out front until everyone that wanted an autograph got one. Amy did a pretty good show, but it did feel like she was just going though the motions. Not much as far as audience connection. Learned a couple of things. Many Evanescence fans don't bathe (was in the floor area, about 10 feet from the stage). And Sick Puppies bust their butts to put on a great show.

While there were some good individual songs on their first album (Fallen), listening to the whole album in one setting is annoying. I think every song is in the same key and has similar chord changes.

Never heard any of their other work; not exactly chompin' at the bit for it.
