When someone tries to convince me there's a god, it just reinforces the fact that there's no god to speak up and settle the matter. The fact that they have to even say anything at all to try to "prove" his existence just makes the lies look more ridiculous.

All the holy books are loaded with contradiction. The Qu'ran also implores Muslims to respect local customs while travelling and not to cause disturbances with prayer rituals. I believe there are even more lax requirements if religious needs are onerous in another nation. On the other hand, it's also riddled with stories about beheading non believers who won't convert.

Even the big bang requires one to except that there are things that happen outside of space time, and if there are, there very well could be beings that exist out of space time that would be in fact gods. Atheism makes as much sense as faith, as it is a blind faith in something without all the facts.
