Fta:

A previously trespassed subject, 53-year-old Barry Joe Stull, was arrested after menacing one of Occupy Portland's internal security staff with a hammer. Stull was booked into the Multnomah County Jail for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and Menacing.

Wtf?

Luckily, they came unarmed. This time.

2011-11-08 09:20:43 AM
So, are they just labeling anyone as a OWS protester if they are arrested for a crime now?

That's convenient.

How come every other incident has numbers of people and the breadstick incident implies that every OWS protester became enraged.

Occupy Portland Arrests and Public Safety Updates

Here is all the crime that happened in the city, and a tiny blurb about some people mad over the lack of breadsticks.

It was that damn folk music at the protest. The poor doofus took "If I Had A Hammer" literally.

2011-11-08 09:46:08 AM
They weren't even organic free range breadsticks, so I highly doubt this is true.

Occupy Panini and Company!

She and her employees are terrified by the constant threats, which she said began after she demanded the protesters stop using her shop's restroom as a place to bathe every day.

The final straw came about two weeks ago, when the demonstrators broke a bathroom sink, flooding the shop, and clogged the toilet -- setting her back $3,000 in damages.

She put up a sign that said the bathroom was out of order, but they tore it down shortly afterward, she said.

I didn't know Big Bread was on the list.

Between situations like the ones reported here, drug overdoses (new window), vandalism, etc., these protesters are going to close down their own movement. And no one likes being stopped up while in the middle of a movement.

you just need to make about $350k a year to be a 1%er

this guy clearly was sent in by the 1%er to give free food to the protesters. Get them hooked on the food and freeness and then, just like a 1%er, take their food away from them!

then the 1%er left this guy out to dry and he has to ask for donations to get back to square one.

Look, this is simple. That guy, at the Tea Party rally, with the tea bags hanging off his hat and his "Don't Tread On Me" button and his hilariously misspelled sign with a racist slogan == NOTA Tea Part Member! Statistical Outlier! Liebrul PLANT!

That guy taking a dump on the cop car == Organizer of the entire OWS movement and head spokesperson who has coordinated the entire multination protest.

Very simple.

A pedestrian walking by the encampments at Southwest 4th Avenue and Salmon Street was confronted by several young people wearing bandanas over their faces. One of the suspects pulled a knife on the victim, while another attempted to punch him in the face.

When you rally with the Muslim Brotherhood, this is how you learn to act.

So anyone who is a paying customer who puts up an argument for not getting what is the norm, is now is a OWS protestor.
(What these stories are sounding like.)

My impression is that the knuckleheads in Portland are mostly douchebag run aways from "1%" families.

csb: white douchebags hollering at me when I didn't give them crack money, while they were sitting under a sign at McDonalds saying "Help Wanted." Lulz.

It is too bad, because other than the shiat balls, Portland is a very nice town with great beer.

2011-11-08 11:04:24 AM
Knowing several of them in Dallas, and reading this shiat again and again, I'm starting to feel like the OWS people have a high ratio of being farking assholes.

It's a shame that Mayor Adams is letting the homeless community drive people away from downtown by tolerating this Campout Portland nonsense.

Because ONE GUY represents an entire movement, you see. It proves that resisting the plutocracy is a violent conspiracy doomed to fail, and that we all should just bow down and prostrate ourselves before the Koch Brothers.

That knife cuts both ways. The people who did not agree with the Tea Party movement used specific examples of retards sporting silly costumes and misspelled/nonsensical signs to mock and discredit the entire movement. People who oppose the OWS movement are taking specific examples of people being either violent agitators or entitled douchebags to mock and discredit the entire movement.

We've become so polarized as a nation that any populist movement is going to be immediately classified as either right or left, and the people on the other side are going to mobilize to discredit and dismiss it. Politicians and mass media have done an excellent job of dividing us amongst ourselves and ensuring that any true grassroots movement trying to change the status quo is going to have instant opposition by a significant portion of the population, based not upon the issues they are trying to address but by simple political affiliation. They don't even have to address the issues at hand, they just have to classify the people involved as right-wing fundies or left-wing hippies, and then sit back and let us attack each other. It's absolutely brilliant, and it's working like a charm. Just keep on vilifying anyone with a different letter after their name instead of trying to reach across the aisle and find common ground, though. I'm sure that will work out for us in the end. It's working so well in Congress, after all.

Whenever people of the same or similar beliefs are isolated from those with different beliefs (or choose to isolate themselves) the rhetoric amongst them has nowhere to go but up and up and up. Louder and louder and LOUDER!

Exhibit one: The Republican echo chamber and their supporters who only watch Fox News.

Exhibit two: The douchebags who ran around attacking people and property in the London riots.

And now exhibit three: many of the Occupy protestors.

These people better take some time out for self-reflection or things could go pear shaped for their respective movements

Some of the protestors are behaving like assholes? Why, this discredits the whole movement!

They meaning 'all/most of the protestors' or they meaning '2 dickholes'.

I'm gonna guess the latter :)
