I saw them when they last toured and it really was great. And it wasn't just the mushrooms.

I'd love to see Sabbath with Ozzy fronting.

You can't understand the way he talks, but he can freaking sing.

/I'd hope.

Saw Ozzy by himself (and Zak Wylde) a few years ago. It was still a ridiculously good show. He's a great performer. Same as the Stones. Some of those old guys still know how to put on a great show even though they are getting pretty old. Others (I'm looking at you Cheap Trick) should just go away...

This is no big surprise. The Sabbath web site has a huge pic of the Master of Reality logo and underneath is 11-11-11.

Friday they will announce a tour.

His wife Sharon would like to know who this Shannon chick is.

It seems to be the next logical thing to do. Since Ronnie James Dio died and Heaven And Hell went kaput this doesn't surprise me, really.

Gotta say, though..after having seen both bands, reunited Sabbath and Heaven And Hell, live on numerous occasions, H&H was the better band!

I'll end up going to see them live if they come near me, but I suspect it will probably be another oldies tour with the same ten songs they've done on the last three tours. Too many Sabbath classics are gone forever because Ozzy can no longer sing them and they can't tune down any further to match Ozzy's vocal range. Remember, they were tuning down 35 years ago.

I'm not a huge Sabbath fan (or metal fan in general), but I saw the reunion tour about 10 years ago and it was fu*king awesome. No fancy glam-rock theatrics, just a solid two+ hour performance from four talented musicians.

The only drawback was Pantera opened and Phil Anselmo is a colossal f'ing douchebag.

Not really surprising. Dio was in better shape (how the fark did Ozzy outlive him...or anyone for that matter?) and had a much better voice and (I'm sorry to say this) stage presence.

But yeah, I saw Sabbath the first time they reunited and haven't missed an opportunity to see them since so I'll be there.

Saw them during the last(?) reunion around 2004. It was farking amazing. Ozzy was healing up after his 4-wheeler accident so he was limping around and mumbling between songs but when he started to sing he sounded farking perfect! Great show! Judas Priest stole the show though.

/Ozzy also mooned us. I was about 10 feet away.

Just youtube for Black Sabbath - Live in Paris. Better than any money making tour they may or may not embark upon.

i saw megadeth along with die toten hosen and buddy guy open for ac/dc 9 years ago, and while i wanted to jab the sound guy for megadeth with a rusty spoon megadeth was awesome!

meant to also say that in 2001 or 2002 the rock-am-ring fest had 1 day of mostly OZZFEST bands...kinda a combo r-a-r/ozzfest production, so i got to see ozzy among other bands from that year's ozzfest. that was cool!

I saw Sabbath at The Beach back in '99, it was supposed to be their "last US show as Black Sabbath with Ozzy ever". Now if they tour again I'll have to see them again and my memories will be all twisted due to my seeing their last show before their next show. Ah, what's an old metalhead to do?

I saw them in '78, '80, '81, '83, '86, '89 and '94, so yeah, off my lawn and all that.

Saw the "Last" BS tour in Portland several years ago. My seats were directly stage left. Ozzy read the words to the songs, all of the songs, off a teleprompter. About half the crowd knew every word to every song, but not Ozzy. Most of the time he just stood and stared at the teleprompter screen, shambling around only during guitar solos to mug for the audience.

Rock and Roll.

Saw reunited Sabbath a few times long ago. First time was with Primus, and Slayer at pine knob in Michigan. They opened with War Pigs, and hearing those sirens outside was pretty damn cool. Later on at a different show they did The Wizard, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, and Behind the Wall of Sleep. Seen them enough however, and will spend my money seeing someone new.

Snapper Carr: how the fark did Ozzy outlive him...or anyone for that matter?

Um, cancer?

Seen Sabbath a handful of times with Ozzy and a handful of Ozzy's solo tours. Always entertaining, but Ozzy's performance was iffy a few of those times. I'll never forget the first time seeing him perform though. The dumbshiat tv show he had really watered down the legacy of the man himself.

If you think a new tour would suck, just remember there's three other talented musicians performing that wrote the music which would influence and change so many lives the world over.

I guess Bill needs the money - not that I'm complaining or anything.

2011-11-09 02:14:25 AM
Honestly folks - this is not good news.

I suggest you stay home and remember Black Sabbath as they were. Ozzy jumping around the stage like a chromosome deficient moron is not worth the expenditure - it's just depressing.

Whatever happened to that little guitarist guy that used to play w/Ozzie? I never hear anything new from him, anymore.
