Breaking news: Puppy slips under floor boards, lands in crawl space. Man crawls in crawl space, gets puppy.

Why exactly was this so terrifying?

Because Kim Kardashian isn't leaving her house and news sites have space to fill? Just a guess.

Spiders. Old clown toys. Dead hookers.

What's in your crawlspace?

The upside: stories about puppies > stories about reality TV "stars."

It could have been John Wayne Gacy's old house.

Done in one. They don't have the money to fix gaping holes in their house, but they bring more dogs into the world? Jerks.

Cute puppy though.

Apparently a lot of Hispanics won't spay or neuter their animals, and it's some sort of a cultural thing. Arizona has a huge problem with stray animals, and most animal control officers see more issues in Hispanic neighborhoods.

I'm not saying that this family did it BECAUSE they're Hispanic. I'm not saying that they're the only race/ethnicity to show poor responsibility toward pet ownership.

However, it wouldn't shock me if the reason why this animal isn't fixed is purely a cultural thing, either.

On the other hand, they have a gaping farking hole in their wall, and not enough sense to pay attention to where the blind wiggling furball is going. I'm betting they couldn't afford to fix either the wall or the dog, and have a whole bunch of stupid in that family's gene pool to prevent comprehending why either should be taken care of.

To be fair, spaying/neutering isn't common in non-US countries. I lived in Spain for 6 months and I never saw a spayed/neutered dog (no idea on cats, as the only ones I saw were stray/feral). In Europe it's fairly rare to see non-intact animals. So it could be a cultural thing (not that it's right, but I can understand the cultural background)

That said, I am all in favor of spaying/neutering. I volunteer at an animal rescue and imho, people should go there first before buying from a breeder. It breaks my heart to see all the animals who get passed over and brought in.
