Ed Finnerty: If they dress him up like a plot no one will find him.

Thank you. You made my day, night and morning.

Maybe it will be a post-modern piece about the search for Waldo rather than Waldo himself. Like Waiting for Godot for today's children.

/just kidding, it will be cheap animated crapsploitation

The only way this will work is if Waldo is a terrorist and some "Jack Bauer"-type character has to find him in the crowded streets and dark alleys of Prague.

FTFA: "MGM, which received a $500 million cash infusion late last year, is moving ahead on a 23rd James Bond pic and has launched development of Eminem-led boxing project "Southpaw," Vin Diesel action-comedy "The Machine" and animated children's book adaptation "Punk Farm." MGM has also co-financed "Girl With a Dragon Tattoo" and "21 Jump Street" at Sony and Paramount's "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters."

SELL ALL MGM STOCK NOW! I SAID NOW, MOTHER FARKER, NOW!!!

I know. This is the part that kills me:

Vin Diesel action-comedy

No one should have to read those words printed together. Ever. Did he learn NOTHING from "The Pacifier"? Just make the third Riddick movie already for fark's sake.

The "real" name of the series is "Where's Wally?", but apparently North American English speakers don't identify with the name "Wally" or something so they changed it to "Waldo".

The only way this will work is if Waldo is played by Mr. Bean. And even then I will refuse to see it.

Dude, you were an idiot if you didn't sell MGM after they announced they couldn't come up with the money to fund the new Bond film two years ago.

I have to believe that somewhere in Hollywood is a running prop bet among producers/studios over who can create a blockbuster movie based on the stupidest established premise imaginable.

The current winner is the guy who suggested Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots, and without hesitation a colleague replied, "Get Hugh Jackman signed on this picture and you got a deal."
