T.rex: Sean Combs just plays himself, either literally, or basically. Its not hard to do.

He was pretty good in Monster's Ball. Granted, he was only in it for 10 minutes or so, but he was definitely not playing to type, and he held his own with Billy Bob Thornton and Heath Ledger.

I always thought Tupac's performance in Criminal Content was underated as was the movie simply because Jim Belushi was in it. IMO great movie. Great job by Tupac "and" Belushi. I don't get why more people didn't care for it.

Also Walberg should top the list for "Boggie Nights" alone.

Tupac was an underrated actor. He was very good in Above the Rim.

Quasar: Really? Mos Def's mushmouth is top of the list and Ludacris isn't even on it? Don't get me wrong - I can't stand the trend of "I can't act but I'm famous for one thing so I should do other things I'd be great at it" - but Ludacris is actually surprisingly decent. That may be because he just plays himself all the time, but still.

If you haven't seen Something the Lord Made with Mos Def it is great acting by any standards let alone for a rapper. I liked him in Hitchhikers Guide too.

That's the problem - Tupac was widely recognized as a very talented actor.

Good list as far as members but the order is messed up. I also think, like others have mentioned, Ludacris and LL Cool J deserve to be on it. Tyrese isn't a bad actor either. Will Smith and Mark Wahlberg should be at the top and not where they are on the list. Love Mos Def's role as Brother Sam on Dexter, as well as his cameos on Chappelle, but he doesn't deserve the top spot.

couldn't think of that name, but i totally agree. He was exceptional in that role. That was a pretty good flick.

I also thought he was 100% believable in a completely different role, in Juice, which was the first time i ever heard of him.

Then, he was in another movie with Adrian Brody and Mickey Rourke that was very good too... Can't think of the name. I should go to IMDB before coming here.

Nope. He's a mushmouth. can barely understand him half the time.

"Gridlock'd" w/ him and Tim Roth was his best film.

MBrady: Mighty Taternuts: no LL cool J?

Deep Blue Sea is an absolute classic.

I think he is decent on NCIS: LA.

He is. The show has a strong ensemble cast, and he is not drowned out by them.

Is that like "award winning janitor"?

Not really. You see, the work a janitor does can be discussed in terms of quality.

People, have you all forgotten the greatest line every spoken by a rapper in a movie?

"I want to shoot you so bad, my dick is hard."

Ice-T - New Jack City

He's still a talented musician, every few months he has a new album out.

Acting wise? yeah I'd rather watch flavor of love.

I see you Deep Blue Sea/LL Cool J and raise you Ace Ventura/Tone Loc

Not to mention Tone Loc was in Heat too, albeit a small part.

That was a pretty good film. Ice-T was like a plank of wood compared to Wesley Snipes in that, but then so was nearly everyone else in the cast.

Gordon Bennett: That was a pretty good film. Ice-T was like a plank of wood compared to Wesley Snipes in that, but then so was nearly everyone else in the cast.

Criss Rock held his own but then he's not a rapper. That movie rocked.

Actually since Ice tea was mentioned I guess a shout out for Boys n the hood is warrented. I think that's the one movie I thought he pulled of acting. Was that Ice tea? Ice Cube? What the fark. Why don't they have real names?

I agree. He was the one I had in mind when typing the "nearly" part of "nearly everyone else."

Ice Cube. I agree that he did a very good job there. Excellent film overall as well.
