FTFV:

"Fewer then seven billion mustaches are currently worn in the world today."

I see what you did there

My Movember page is here: Mobro.co/vincze (new window)

And you can learn more about Movember here (new window)

Mister Sparkle, I can't wait to check out your video when I get home tonight. I also can't wait until my mustache grows into something a little less embarrassing. At this point it is a sad thing.

Nezorf: When the hell did 'Movember get co-opted by awareness causes?

1999, Australia. And it wasn't "co-opted" so much as "not co-opted."

So am I! Unfortunately, it's in that stage where it looks like I'm the defensive coordinator for Penn State.

All the guys that I go to school with are doing the same.

Great cause and a bit of fun.

I'd grow one but it's a hockey 'stache.

I hadn't seen the original but that was definitely funny.

Broad111: is there a fark group?

This is a good question. On the off chance that anyone is interested, I just made a team, if you're a Mobro just click on "join a team" and the team name is "Fark".

I'm kind of glad to hear other people aren't feeling confident about their current progress. I'm sure another week will change everything.

About 15 of us in the office are doing it.

I've never grown a mustache before, so mine looks pretty ratty so far.

2011-11-07 07:36:08 PM
So... The point of this is to grow a mustache in order to bring awareness of your prostate?

2011-11-07 07:38:02 PM
Well done, far outstrips anything I've done to get donations, but I'll throw my unfortunately pedo-stache (new window) into the mix.

Not just our prostates, but everybody's prostates.

If it's all the same to you guys, I mean, we're cool and all... But I'd really rather not think about your prostates. Couldn't I just like, wave from a safe distance and offer good wishes?

Ronin: Thanks - the SNL sketch is 3 years old, so topical it is definitely not. Our office raised about $18,000 last year - but that's Canadian dollars so only....wait - it's about the same in U.S. I guess ;) - good luck with the Mo and the fundraising - hope both turn out well.

My moustache is weak, but I'm watching some re-runs of Magnum PI to encourage it. Fingers crossed.

Here's mine ... Started Movember clean shaven, and now I'm hoping that my all bacon and Guinness diet will drastically improve my facial hair skills.

A mustache to fight prostate cancer????

Where is he growing it?

Some really funny comments guys.

I did Movember last year when I was in Africa; it was a pathetic Mo when I was done. My wife absolutely forbid me to do it this year under penalty of loosing one of those fun activities I like so much.

I think next year I will do it again.
