Media whores attacking media whores. Truly the end times.

Nothing says class like hiring Gloria Allred, lawyer for the whores...and wrongfully penised women associates of rich people.

Someone has to stand for the wrongfully penised.

If only Herman Cain weren't a serial harasser. Poor guy.

Isn't every man a serial harasser? I'd be interested in what these people actually have to say. Unfortunately we'll never know exactly what happened without video.

I'm almost certain that I've never hit on a woman by describing her "as tall as my wife". Though, when I've been drinking I can say some pretty crazy things.

Yeah, no. I may... ok, do, serially harass a multitude of women half my age or less within the confines of my diseased mind, but I never act on it. Partly because I know its pathetic and creepy, but also because I don't want my dick to wind up in a jar on my wife's night stand.

I expect this is probably typical.

10+ posts and no biatching about how dare TPM have two greenlits back to back? Gloria Allred could sue Fark, but WHAR is the WHAR-RAGE?

Here comes a new challenger!

1) Notice how us liberals aren't defending this biatch.
2) Still wondering where you were the day that Binderclipgate broke to protest that outrage.

Woman decides to get involved in ongoing scandal by bringing new evidence to light. Headline: biatch pokes her nose in business that ain't hers.

Actually the only outrage here is that every other thread in the politics tab seems to be about this story.

FTA: The media circus surrounding Herman Cain just got its third ring.

Sums this up rather nicely, I thought.

So, it's official? The whole Cain-sexual-harrasment-thing will be with us throughout the election, rather than just a couple news cycles?

Cain seems intent on making that the case. I'm not sure how it would have been possible for him to handle this worse.

2011-11-07 12:52:58 PM
Oh, bloody 'ell. Stick to the ones we actually know about, the ones with settlements, the ones about which Herman Cain lied, then dodged, then blamed, then ignored. Skip the folks crawling out of the woodwork to exploit the situation.

So is this the time in the scandal when any woman who has ever been in the same office building as him once in their life claims that he harassed them?

These payout things always make me really suspicious of both sides. Leads me to believe the accused is hiding something and the accuser thinks money is more important than justice.

I got accused of it once in the early 90s. I walked into a break room and sat down on the couch, I didnt turn the light on because there was enough light coming through the windows, About 5 minutes later a coworker walked in, who also did not turn the lights on. I didnt say anything to her and I got up to leave, she turned around and was startled that I was walking toward her, which just happened to be toward the door.

The next day the boss called me in to talk about it. I explained what happen but he still wanted me to sign some form of corrective action. I told him that I would write a letter explaining what happened and sign that but I wouldn't sign the action because it was a stupid complaint.

Why the suspicion? Cain has been completely clear and forthcoming with his explanations on this matter and has been vindicated by the fact that as we learn more of the details of what happened they have matched Cain's recollections perfectly. The fact that this proud man is still being hounded is... pffft... sorry, I can't do it anymore. Guess I wasn't cut out for this gig.

And because the charge was ridiculous, it was dropped?

Well, I stand corrected. I went all batshiat on this bastard on Friday "feeling sorry" for Herman Cain. No sympathy for his accuser?

There is no better way to say "I'm in this for the money and attention and please come interview me" or "You may not want to take anything I say seriously" than,
"I hired Gloria Allred as my attorney."

So, she's a liar AND a stupid coont?

slc11082: Good take this uncle tom down!

I'm getting sick of all the racist repugs saying how great and smart and how awesome he would be as a president when in reality all they care about is that they got their own house N*gger to go up against Obama and they think it doesn't make them look like racists.

The only reason cain is ahead among the repugs is because he's black and repugs think if they have their own black man that they will win.

1/10

As it mentioned in the article, he's now saying he won't answer anymore questions about it. Actually, he has taken to having Mark Block hand out a printout explaining the code of ethics for journalism to anyone who tries to ask him, though if he gets enough questions he eventually starts talking about it again dispite saying he wouldn't talk about it any more.

Truely, a case study in how to botch a scandal. Then again, scandal assumes it causes people to be critical of him; Republicans have circled the wagons and 70% say that the sexual harassment stuff will make them any less inclined to vote for Cain.

He's already gone back on the claim that he won't answer any more questions. He talked to Geraldo about it last night.

Not at all. But I wouldn't believe anyone who hired Allred if Teebus himself was standing at her right hand. It's possible that I think that if you're fool enough to hire this AW coont then you must be looking for $$$$$. Or it's possible I'm simply pissed that by hiring this AW coont, she'll probably get $$$$$.

Once Allred gets involved, guilt or innocence is moot.

And then you arranged for her to go away and ensured she couldn't discuss it in the future?

For anyone thinking I made up the Mark Block stuff...

Cain then asked his chief of staff, Mark Block, to deliver the reporter a copy of the "journalistic code of ethics." (new window)

Hmm... the source I read made it sound like it was an honest printout, but it looks more like it was a joke he made. Still, how is it unethical to ask him about it?

No because Allred isn't representing all of the women, she is just representing this new woman. I don't know if the allegations covered under the non disclosure agreement are false or not, but I wouldn't believe anybody now coming forward with allegations for the first time. Plus being represented by Allred is an automatic red flag in my book.
