Well, it's not me.. (sigh)

All I took from that article is that they're making a The Perks of Being a Wallflower movie. Very few books affected me like that in high school.

Lovey dovey?? Was the article written by someone's grandmother?

Never even heard of it. Is it young adult stuff. I only read ten of those in my life, and six of those have been since after college.

what does the second part of the headline have to do with the first?

"Emma Watson has found love with a fellow university student after recently starting classes in her native Britain, according to a U.K. report....

"A source tells the publication, 'He's called Will Adamovicz and is thought to be an American postgraduate. I saw them coming out of the King's Arms (pub) in Oxford hand-in-hand the other night, looking very lovey-dovey and, obviously, an item.'"

Love? When will journalists learn that every time a celebrity hooks up with someone that they are not necessarily in love. They could be just farking.

Unless he/she tells you that they're in love, don't assume so.

WaltzingMathilda: what does the second part of the headline have to do with the first?

Blatant Harry Potter reference, for the lulz. Tumbleweeds, crickets presiding.

so if there were like a story for Cuba Gooding Jr. being spotted at a local resident I could submit a headline that said "Cuba Gooding Jr. spotted eating at Burger King. SHOW ME THE MONEY!" ... and that would be funny enough for a green?

It's worth a try.

why would gryffindor be awarded points? is subby saying that emma watson is unattractive and therefore her acquiring a boyfriend would be an accomplishment? even if that were the case, why would the staff of hogwarts want to influence the coupling of its students at all, particularly with what what i'm assuming to be a muggle? no, this headline doesn't make sense at all.

headhurt: Lovey dovey?? Was the article written by someone's grandmother?

No, George Thorogood. He has been looking for work recently and decided writing articles about British stars for the Star Pulse was a good outlet.

/he uses the term in One Bourbon IIRC

She's a mudblood - coupling with a pure muggle would make...what, exactly? A muddle?

Hipster soap.
It should be renamed "The Adventures of Autistic Kid and Spritely Girl".

let's be honest. it shouldn't be a point of pride to get a green or to think fark is awesome because it gives greens for headlines that make no f*cking sense or using movie references that have absolutely no connection to the subject of the article.

WaltzingMathilda: let's be honest.

I fully agree with you (I once got yelled at for not making soap puns on a headline about Ivory Coast), I was just poking fun at your comment. You've been here long enough to know that headlines sometimes stray from the topic of the article and/or common sense.

They're selling fantasy to the folks who really get into the whole celeb following/worship "thing".

After giving it more thought, I'm going to revert to my original assessment. She was most desirable @ Prisoner of Azkaban.

I'm amazed she even dates, I'd be too tempted to shout it after getting a beej in a restroom.

well that's why she doesn't date you, but it shouldn't be why she doesn't date anyone at all

being spotted with a boyfriend?

emma watson eats doritos. 3 points for gryffindor!!!

emma watson spotted shopping with wooly boots on. 3 points for gryffindor!!!

no, banal acts of mere existence do not justify this headline.

She got a boyfriend. That's not the same as eating a cheeto. She *scored* so to say.
