It's awesome that the same quality of shots could have been taken from the ground.

Pubs = warm
Plane with door open at 4 miles up = freezing

Pubs = oxygen concentration conducive to human life
Plane with door open at 4 miles up = might die without an oxygen mask

Pubs = beer
Plane with door open at 4 miles up = no beer

Pubs = can probably get a kebab next door
Plane with door open at 4 miles up = no next door kebab shops and good luck getting a delivery

WTF is this guys problem?

I'm going to open a business that buys food from food carts and delivers them to passing airplanes via cannon. 5% of net to the first person to come up with a better name than "Kinetic Kebabs."

Um, no.

In air: Light comes from same side of cloud as photographer.

On ground: Light comes from opposite side of cloud

Clouds have never done anything for me. Clouds don't wait patiently in the 'frig for me to come home. Clouds don't come in a variety of delicious flavors. Clouds don't go well with barbeque. Clouds don't cause my problems, and cure them all at the same time.

Since I'm an avid homebrewer and don't have any kids, I'd say the phone pictures of my beer far outweigh the pictures of, well, everything else.

What if there were such things as "beer clouds" and you took pictures of them four miles high?

They went on for ever and they when I we lived in Arizona and the skies
always had little fluffy clouds and err.. they were long and clear and there
were lots of stars, at night.

Yeah, but he stayed IN the plane. If you want to get good pictures of clouds, you need something in the foreground.

I took these in mid September in South Carolina:

I often prefer pictures of beer, though...
