My father was a beekeeper before me. His father was a beekeeper before him. And I wanted to follow in their footsteps. And their footsteps were like this:

AAAAAAAHHHHHHH! I'M COVERED IN BEES! Help! Covered in bees!

Mason was trying to renovate the home on a limited budget and had tried to fog spray the hive in the wall, and then tried to patch up the hole in the wall with tape.

obviously, it was karma

Matthew Keene: Bees are one thing. It's hornets I don't wanna mess with.

As a teenager my parents tasked me with removing a hornets nest looking just about like that. A friend and I stuck a pole out the window of the pickup, duct-taped a trash bag around it and the window, and drove back and forth and jousted with it until we finally knocked it down.

I'd love to say that it landed in the back of the truck and we got stung like hell trying to get out, but actually it landed on the ground and I drove over it a few times.

I wish I were a white trash bumpkin so that I could claim tons more stories like this, but alas, mine was a mostly posh upbringing.

I'm wondering if it was actually hornets and not bees. Hornets are actually meat eating insects. I remember someone left a turkey leg on a grill on their back porch and the next morning, looking through the glass door, it was COVERED in hornets.

I am not aware of bees eating meat.

A teenage girl found her father dead inside his home that was infested with thousands of bees living inside the walls, report the Miami Herald.

Donald Mason, 49, was found in the upstairs bedroom of a Miami home that he was renovating. Investigators have not determined the cause of death, but his brother told the paper, Mason hit fell from a chair while swatting at a swarm of bees and hit his head.

Mason was trying to renovate the home on a limited budget and had tried to fog spray the hive in the wall, and then tried to patch up the hole in the wall with tape.

Hey, normally I wouldn't post such an off-thread thing as this, but it kinda turned me on. I like a **little** bit of sugar in coffee to take the bitter edge off. I tried about half a teaspoon of honey the other day and DAMN that was some awesome coffee. How did I not know this? Are the bees conspiring with the coffee bushes? I want to blame the Bushes.

So the guy's brother says the dummy was trying to kill a huge-ass swarm with a do-it-yourself insect fogger, and while doing so or soon after, went to swat at some that got into the house and fell and hit his head, thus dying.

The cops, however, believe he died due to the fall, which they doubt had "anything to do with the bees. "

So except for the fact that nobody ever said he was KILLED BY THE BEES, the cops are either totally right, or totally wrong.

It is my understanding that bees do not eat meat. Hornets and yellow jackets will. The most unsettling thing I've seen from the insect world was at an event I was attending years ago. A rather hefty yellow jacket landed on a deli tray, and flew off with the biggest piece of roast beef he could manage.
