And Palmer did not throw his shoe size in INT's....Makes no sense

This makes me sad that it's how the Chiefs stayed tied for first.

Praise Tebow.

fark you chris berman you farking piece of shiat , just announce the highlights don't act like a raped monkey.

sucks they lost.

Well, we all knew the Raiders went from favorite to basement when Campbell went down. The fact that they looked halfway decent for 2 quarters is better than I expected.

Will there be a clear leader by this thursday?!

Good thing the Raiders traded away their future to get Cutler.

The surprising thing is that Palmer actually had one hell of a day as QB. Unfortunately the rest of the team just kinda stopped playing in the 4th quarter.

I'm blaming the time change. They forgot they had another full quarter of gameplay.

Kind of fun watching a SEC read option offense go against a modern NFL offense.

Carson Palmer is no slouch. A few more games to get sharp, and he is going to play at a top tier level. With a healthy McFadden, and their receiving corp, the Raiders look pretty good.

If Denver can stiffen up on defense, they may not be the team Fox and Elway want, but it is the team they got.

2011-11-07 03:54:51 AM
One of Palmer's INTs was a pass off the hands of the Oakland receiver to a Bronco, so can't fault Palmer for that. And given he hasn't had that much time to learn the offense Palmer looked fine.

Raiders killed themselves with the penalties. Dumb dumb dumb things and giving up on the defense in the second half, much like the game against Buffalo.

So no one is going to talk about tebow not sucking?

I'm happy my Tebowing t-shirt will still be relevant in Vegas next week. Hopefully he resumes sucking the subsequent week

Suck or not suck, it still disturbs me how Jesus lets 3,000 children die of malaria the same day that he helped Tebow win that game (so to honor His Name!).

So dumb and full of shiat at the same time. Tim Tebow's fb page gets updated like once a week and it's just a passage. It's not even quoted he just gives the book and verse number

Reports of Carson Palmer's demise as a QB may have been somewhat exaggerated, but getting intercepted 3 times still tends to prevent you from winning. Then again, if Oakland had any sort of defensive game plan or execution beyond trying to knock Tebow cold, they still might have salvaged the game.

Fett56: So no one is going to talk about tebow not sucking?

He sucked less than last week, to be sure. Only 120-something yards passing, though. The Raiders didn't or couldn't do anything to stop him from running. If forced into being predominantly a passing QB, he still won't help Denver very much. It's like the poor man's version of Michael Vick during his stay in Atlanta. NFL offenses function better with quarterbacks who pass well, as Atlanta eventually started to discover.

2011-11-07 08:17:08 AM
Tebow is great at comebacks, like his Savior.

2011-11-07 08:19:11 AM
GimpyNip: Palmer looked like Palmer. For every good throw he'll throw a terrible one. He collects INTs. Basically a poor Man's Brett Favre.

Tebow throws some bad passes, thankfully for him the are bad that nobody can catch them which his helped keep him to 1 INT all season. He had a few nice passes to Decker. Decker's been a bright spot. All in all, I think Tebow earned the start for the rest of the year. Also, he's a great Fantasy QB. Two 20+ PT weeks do far.

Tebow has been playing like a poor man's Atlanta Mike Vick. Obviously nowhere near the arm strength or raw speed, but the numbers show about the same amount of pass accuracy and rushing stats. 3-3 as a starter. You're right - he deserves the rest of the year.

2011-11-07 08:34:06 AM
GimpyNip: Tebow is more Vince Young than Vick. He's basically Vince Young without the INTs and the mental disorder. People forget but Young used to win games. If the Broncos decide to stick with him next year and build around him he could hang around. Either way, he's more entertaining to watch than Orton. He does need a lot of work on his reads and his mechanics though. When he faces D's with lots of looks and shifts like the Jets & Ravens he'll probably get eaten alive.

Tebow has a mental disorder of his own, it just doesn't negatively impact his life. The only thing wrong with Vince Young was his head. Any coach worth his salt will take a QB that just wins games like Tebow and Young seem to do. You take them and figure out an offense that suits their talents, kind of like what the Broncos did yesterday. I'd say Fox might not be completely retarded but he did take some important points off the board before halftime.

I'm glad to see that this fine young Christian gentleman is finally showing those who had so little faith in him that he is receiving the blessings for all of his hard work. They said that he would never be a QB, they said he could never play in college, they said he could never make it in the NFL, but Tim had faith that he would succeed and he has achieved this through his hard work. I think it's sad that people don't believe in Tim. There are so many THUGS in football like Randy Moss and his thug buddies that I don't see why the media wants to bash Tim. I think we all really know why they do it.

If you're not a believer in Tim Tebow now, I'll pray for you.

Watching NFL Primetime this week will be entertaining, Merrill Hodge really ripped Tebow apart last week. That dude rivals some of you with the dumbass shiat that comes out of his mouth

Haha, you honestly think a single Bengal fan thought Carson Palmer would take the Raiders to the AFC Championship? I'm pretty sure that they're cool with the 1 & 2.

Prob not but stupid statement is stupid. If that Bengal fan believes winning 6 games vs their weak schedule means anything with 4 more vs Pitt and Baltimore then he'll believe anything.

GimpyNip: And since his religion doesn't impact his play I'm not mentioning it.

Perhaps, in some ways it helps. No hangovers, no illegitimate children, no gang affiliations, no murdering people, no fights at nightclubs... all these tend to help a man be more focused on his game. Yeah he needs all the focus he can get, and yeah I probably should have listed the "no murdering" thing last.

Whatever happens, I'm happy to see him have some success. People hate him so much I just like the Schadenfreude of seeing him succeed on his game... also I got my fill of joy at him losing when they lost their undefeated season bid in '09 or '10... something like that.

This. Tebow looks significantly better in running the offense than he did against the Lions last week, but let's not forget he was 10-21 for 124 passing yards. The 118 rushing obviously does a lot to make up for that, but as Michael Vick has proven, a run-first QB will not ultimately succeed in this league. But let's keep this thing going and see how it develops.

Tebow had a decent game. Yea, he scored a lot of FF points, but it's already known the Raiders have a poor rush defense. What makes you think they'd defend a QB rushing any better? With Carson not acclimated to Al Saunders system(who ever is?) and McFadden out, the Raiders win with ball control. Against a team that has a decent dual threat rush, that's a tough game to win, especially when you have 3 ints.

Tebow is skewing very similar to Vince Young. Wins against struggling teams/soft schedule ugly, maybe eek out a good win here or there, but, ultimately, will have trouble winning the big game and playoff games. You can't win games consistently with a sub 50% completion percentage.

There have been quite a few young, run-first QBs that have changed their game as their passing improved. Tebow plays the way he plays now because he's still learning how to play the position at an NFL level. If he's still playing this way 2 years from now then it's fair to lump him in with the Vicks and Cunninghams of the NFL.

what the hell. i hate it when sportswriters say something like "16 quarterbacks have rushed for more than 100 yards in a game" and leave it at that. farkers. I want to know who those 16 are, and not have to search for it for 10 minutes to no avail.

The worse thing is, a bunch of lists that no one gives a fark about follow that sentence. Show the damn 16 you nitwit.

so here is a list that includes more than 16 due to old-timer formations, and is updated thru 2006:

Err, Cunningham was over 3000 yards passing 5 times in his career and has 30000 career passing yards. He's also 37th and 36th all time in attempts and completions and 29th in passing tds. Randall knew when to throw and when to run.

The problem many people have been seeing with Tebow is that he's been in the league two years and still looks the same today that he did when he first played in preseason 2 years ago.
