And thanks to them letting us employee's swap out our underwater stock options a few years ago, it's looking like a merry christmas indeed :).

Great company to work for, Lighter roasts and K cups are two completely untapped revenue sources for the Bux, it's going to be a good year. Amused by all those who screamed "Sell" in 2008.

/in before the haters, who will likely complain the new "Blonde" roast is too light.

If you're willing to pay five bucks for a cup of joe, you deserve a good cockpunch to go with it.

I don't like coffee. I like starbucks. None of the other coffee chains sell anything edible that isn't coffee and isn't loaded with sugar. ("hot apple cider"- WITH 2 cup of sugar!!)

/I get tea lattes. Yum.

Amazing what slashing employees can do for the bottom line two years later.

If you biatch about paying $5 for coffee at starbucks, stop ordering fancypants drinks, Mr. Fancypants. Their regular coffee is about the same price as DunkinDonuts. And a triple expresso is two dollars and change.

Please explain the "swap out" of your underwater stock. I was let go in '09 and this was NOT an option....

Some of us had stock options granted at $36.00 plus back in the day, but in '08/'09 when the stock was $7.00-8.00 they let us swap out a percentage of the high value stocks for stocks on the lower end.

" In the deal, employees were offered the right to surrender their options to Starbucks; in exchange, they got fewer options at a lower strike price. To participate in the swap, an employee had to own an option granted prior to Dec. 1, 2007 with a strike price of more than $19 a share."

So, got to ride the wave back to the top again, very handy :P
