Jebus, I have bad matchups this week. NY people - who are the Giants going to roll with at RB for the foreseeable future? Ware and Jacobs both seem sucky. I dunno, rolling with BJGE instead I guess.

Too bad Dolts and Cophphins don't play each other the last game of the season. A new record for number of safeties would be guaranteed.

The Dolphins have actually played well enough to win in 2 or 3 games I've watched. The Colts... not so much.

Yeah, the Colts should be the favorite in the Luck Sweepstakes. If it snows on Thanksgiving, the Dophins are guaranteed at least one win.

Well, since half of my fantasy team decided to get hurt or sit for the bye week, I have to start LaDainian Tomlinson and Javon Ringer at running back in my fantasy league today. I hope you're happy, Ahmad Bradshaw and Mark Ingram.

Oh, man. I feel your pain. I have LaDanian and Ingram, too. Blount and Jacki Battle better hit the ground running.

I have a team with Jahvid Best, Darren McFadden, and Peyton Hillis as my primary backs....thus this week Sproles and Daniel Thomas are my starters. Probably not going to be pretty.

Not that I'm a huge Packers fan or anything (still a little bitter about last year's Super Bowl, although the Packers simply outplayed by Steelers), but hoping for someone to have a possibly career-ending, at the minimum career-altering, injury is just bush league. I hope the Packers do get beat, but who wants to see a win under those circumstances? What, Philip Rivers can only get a win if the other quarterback destroys his knee? That's some confidence you have in your team, fella.

2011-11-06 11:41:49 AM
Need one in the flex spot between these three: Chris Johnson, Jackie Battle, Darrius Heywerd-Bey.

/Who would have thought Chris Johnson would be a flex option with those two at the start of the season?

If you were a chargers fan, would you have any confidence in them at this point in the season? I'll take a win even if it means there's an earthquake mid game that crushes half of the GB team.

Yeah, that's just bad taste wishing injury on someone.

Atl -6.5 At Indy 45.5
bizarre...granted ATL is showing that they're still at least a year out from being a factor, but while their record is a passable 4-3, this should be way higher. ATL outright. And the over. Colts give up an astounding 31.5 a game (worst in NFL, no shock) and 403 per game.

At NO -8.5 TB 50.5
Hmmm.....TB has been pretty unspectacular this year but they're only 1 game behind NO (who has also been very shaky this year).....I don't trust eitehr team, and 8.5 is a lot of point to me. I'll say TB covers. and as erratic as both have been this year, who knows if TB doesn't win outright.

Note, that if TB and ATL win,the NFC South will have three teams sitting at 5-3. very interesting day ahead.

Also an odd stat: If you look at the division leaders, Saints lead all first place teams with points allowed: 189. Best division leader in points surrendered? 49ers.

How about NFL leader in points surrendered? Ravens? Steelers? The Jets' supposed awesome defense? Try again. The San Francicso 49ers (107). Most everybody else hovers in the 140s to 160s.

At Hous -10.5 Clev 41
I don't think Houston has it in them to win by this much, despite Cleve being prettty bad (althought they are 3-4, so they're not horrible). Houston is another of those teams that looks good and has lots of hype, but you never knwo what kind of game you'll get. 10.5 is too much, Cleveland covers but there's no way they win.

At Buff -2.5 NYJ 45
Rough Buff is 4-0 at home, NYJ winless OTR. Academic. Rough Buff outright. Plus, I think Buff is just demonstrably better. Even @ Jets I would take Buff outright. this is just a "let's get tons of action!" line. Should be more like, Buff by 4.5. If I was betting actual cake, I'd be on this like cold on ice.

At KC -4 Miami 40.5
See, this is what i'm talking about; MIA is also winless OTR; MIA is execrable this year and the Jets are ok, but, this is the kind of line that should be popping in the above game. anyways. KC seems to rounding into form after an awful start, KC outright. also, I rarely consider weather, and I know MIA played outdoors last week (losting @ NYG), and I don't know what the weather was like but it will be in the low 50s today. I wonder if that is a factor in today's game. KC outright.

SFO -4 At Wash 37.5
bizarre....remember all the love Wash had after starting 2-0? I know they're a storied franchise, but man, I swear the national media has a Washington jersey in their closet. My how things have changed. Welp. SFO (as noted above, the stingiest defense in the NFL) is good. 7th in scoring (28.7per), Wash is 27th. I'm not sure what time the game is and the dreaded "breakfast football" theory could be in play, but.....no. SFO is too good and Wash just not what many think. So in part because SFO Is good but also because I hate, I despise, Washington, SFO walks. game is over by halftime.

At Dallas -11 Seattle 45
You could argue the "NFC West sucks in east coast" (and Texas isn't the east coast) and be right on some level, but when SEA has traveled, they've been, as i said, hugely inconsistent. Housed at Pittsburgh 24-0 (and no shame in that, that's an outstanding team), but then clowned @ NYG 36-25 (if i recall, this was a game where NYG got like, 10.5 or some such. eaaaaaaaaasy money!) @ Cleveland? perhaps the wost game of the year, 6-3 cleveland. You never know with Seattle, but....Eh. I'll say Seattle covers. Number is too big. If this was Dalls -7.5, i'd give pause, but....11?

At OAK -7 DNV 42
I say Oakland outright. Last I heard Tebow was still the man, I wonder if he sucks, whether they give the reins back to Orton or to Quinn.

At Tenn -2.5 Cinc 41.5
quietly a very, very, very interesting game, particularly given the Pitts (6-2) /Ravens (5-2) matchup....Bengs are in the hunt for the AFC North (second place), and Tenn is quietly stalking a Houston team that for whatever my opinion is worth, is ripe for the taking. a Cincy win give them 6 wins and at least second place in the North, whereas a Cincy win and a Ravens win leaves Bengs, Steelers, and Ravens with 6 wins. very interesting.

better home/OTR matchup wins: to the numbers.....Tenn 3-1, Cinc 3-1 OTR. wow. OK, Bengs average 24.4 per, Titans 19.9. So baesd purely on that, I'll say Cincy with a small upset (is it even an upset?) with an outright win.

At Arizona -3 STL 41.5
Not sure if this is televised....Arizona's 55 or whatever home game streak as of the I think friday 1pm deadline, was over, as there were 2000-3000 seats unsold. Don't know. Skelton is starting, not sure if Bradford is starting. Think so. If not, then AJ Feeley, who was out of football from 2008 through like, 3 weeks ago (but beat the Saints last week!) starts. I'll say Arizona finally cracks the win column after having gone winless since OPENING DAY.

At NE -9 NYG 51
Finally Vegas stopped giving NYG those stupid lines. I forget last week's, something like 13 or some shiat vs Miami (and the aformentioned 10 or perhaps 11 vs seattle early). I was joking last week, after NYG escaped with a, what, one point, or was it last second FG over winless Miami, "I can already see next week's line @ NE: ZOMG GIANTS BY TWELVE!!"

that said, Eli is balling. Pats are 3rd in scoring (28.9) and Giants respectable 11th. Defensively, Giants are 16th in yards and Pats again inexplicably DFL. How odd is that? Belichick the defensive genius, right? To their credit, while they hemmorrhage yards, Pats are "only" 16th in points surrendered (22.9) while the Giants give up 23.4 per (21st).

Giants cover. Pats are 3-0 at home Giants 2-1 OTR. 9 is big. Big Blue covers.

Green Bay -5.5 At San Diego 51
San Dog isn't right. GB is. GB outright.

At Pittsburgh -3 Baltimore 42
again, huge implications for the North. Pitt home win equalizes the "head to head" matchup from week 1, where Ravens beat them at home. A Ravens win hurts Pitt's divisional chances because even if it goes to tiebreakers, Ravens would be 2-0 on Pitt. I'll say Baltbecause for all of Flacco's problems, Ravens D is tremendous. 49ers have the stingiest D in the NFL but Ravens are right behind them with only 109pts surrendered. Ravens...uhhh....close game. I'll say outright but this will be like, 23-19.

for about the past month, it has been 8-4 pretty consistently. I had a 9-3 once and I think a 10-2 but that was in like, week 3 or some shti when you never really know how good any given tema is (cough cough, washington).

but i don't think this year i've been below 8 wins. i recap it on monday mornings in the same thread. no one ever really sees it. well, me and netweavr, robsul82, maybe a few others have a monday morning recap of waht we saw.
