It could look like the stupidest thing ever, according to our subjective opinions of design, but if it can get the maximum numbers of people to heir destination with the least amount of fuel, that's all I want out of a plane.

Plus, at 30,000 feet, I can't even see the shape of the plane anyway. (Either I'm inside it, or on the ground)

The vertical stabilizer is mounted a little forward for aerodynamics and this pilot is more worried about esthetics.

Patrick Smith is a f*cking awesome pilot.

it's area rule, snobby ass pilot. deal with it. just hope that delaminated composites don't start showing up on these aircraft after a couple thousand cycles.
